Remarks

Eligibility for VESIT depends on your CET as well as JEE scores. However, I am a Direct Second Year student and the cutoff went as high as 97%. There is a separate reservation for the Sindhi minority. Fees for the General category are 1lac 16 thousand. I pursued my admission through EBC and the fees for EBC/EWS are 66000. The admission procedure is crystal clear and steady. You just need the right documents alongside the college staff is extremely helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview

I love computers. The motive was simple to opt for computer engineering. VESIT is known for discipline and that's what I wanted. Faculties are quite qualified for the post and emphasize knowledge-orientated teaching. Exams, since conducted by Mumbai University, are not that much of a challenge and if you can handle time accordingly you can easily land on an 8 pointer.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are available for students from the 3rd year and you can avail any internship of your choice. The stipend is totally dependent on the company also internship is most fruitful for the knowledge of the work environment etc.

Placement Experience

The placements are good. For CS/IT its understandable that the competition is tough so differences in pointers may cause a difference in your placements too. The college has its independent placement cell and major recruiters are JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Accenture L&T, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships available and listed on the college's official website. Fees are pretty much less than other engineering colleges in Mumbai also reservations can be availed by students at the time of admission.

Campus Life

The library is vast. The classrooms are neat and clean. VESIT has got a huge campus. You would love the campus and its ambiance. There are various social clubs in this college for which you can apply for membership.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus.
