Remarks

I got admission through my earlier percentage. I applied through the JAC Chandigarh website. The admission process was smooth and user-friendly. Some of my friends also got admission through Gate as well. Application fees were Rs. 1000.

Course Curriculum Overview

I did my Btech in Chemical engineering as it is an evergreen branch. I was interested to study further the core subjects and trying my hands on some research work. So I decided to apply for master's in Chemical Engineering. The faculty here is well qualified with good research publications and knowledge of subjects.

Class Size: 20Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Placement Experience

College placements are good, many students get placed. Some prominent companies that come for campus placements are Exonn Mobil, Shell, Vedanta, Cairn Oil, and Gas, etc. The highest package that is offered is around 12lacs/year and the average package is around 6lacs/annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course is quite affordable with only Rs. 30000/year fees. There are scholarships available on a merit basis and SC caste scholarships are also available. We can also work in the library as part-time assistants and earn 2k/month for paying our college dues.

Campus Life

There are many social clubs available at my college and at the university level as well. Panjab University provides great exposure and opportunities. Students can participate in various events that are organized on daily basis in university. Many books are available in the main library and dept. Library as well. Students can issue those books according to their needs.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are available on campus with very low fees i.e. 15k/year. But there is one drawback only few students get hostel room as there are only limited seats available in hostels. Other students have to live in Pgs or private hostels available in Sector-15 and Sector-25 as well.

Life in Panjab university

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course cirriculum is good it is designed in perfect manner. Course contains all good subjects which give us knowledge and real life experience like how life goes and what problems are going to happen and how to solve them in real life . Although teaching is good but i must say we should be given some more practical knowledge so that we can relate more imaith real life. Exams are of moderate level not easy not difficult if you have done your studies in a good and thorough manner.

Got a good oppurtunity for my internship at Mckinsey and company, but the PPO was revoked and then good oppurtunities werent provide for my placement. 50% student were places this year, Last year this was around 80%

If I talk about btech final semester is the time to get placed in any govt or private companies There are various companies that are visiting in SVIET like infosis, Mahindra, Tata Motors, blue origins, Samsung, etc 15-16 lakh per year 50-70% I want to teach in any college as a lecturer of electronics and communication engineering

Wonderful place for an overall experience and learning

Placement Experience:

The policy says that by the last year of the course students are eligible for campus placement but things have been a lot different in the pandemic. This college has been visited by Google, Microsoft, Reliance, and Infosys on a regular basis. After my master's I plan to continue my study for Ph.D. The mentors here especially the HOD has always offered great insight into my ideas of communication that I wish to explore.
