Admission was on the basis of 12th class percentage and a scholarship test was conducted to offer scholarships to the students. Any student who opted for maths in the 12th class is eligible to apply for the course. I chose this course as I keep a keen interest in mathematics. The mathematics faculty at Chandigarh University is excellent and equal attention is paid to every student and looks after their progress. You will find maximum faculty members with high qualifications, with PhD degrees. Several quizzes, assignments and worksheets are given to students for their practice and improvement. Department conducts 3 times exams in a semester that includes two MSTs and one est. Time to time practicals is also conducted along with providing theoretical knowledge to students. The main point is that every lecture is recorded and is uploaded on the blackboard app. You will find book references, recorded lectures, attendance info and your grades. University provides various platforms to enhance students knowledge and build a great experience.

An internship facility is provided to the students every year even it is available for the 1st semester batches for various courses. Internship programs for designing courses such as interior designing, fashion designing is provided and also for programming, coding etc.

Various multinational companies approaches the university for placements. And internship is also provided to the students of almost all the courses every semester. Mainly after graduation, the students are eligible for campus placements but in the case of engineering you can get placement offers even before graduation. More than 400 companies including microsoft, Accenture, hcl, Infosys, Google approach the university. Highest package till now has been 35 lakhs per annum and average package is also decent. I am looking forward for the same after completing my graduation.

The fee for the course for the entire year is 60,000 and the hostel fee is 90,000 which also includes gym facilities, mess, 24 hrs electricity, good connectivity of wifi over the entire campus. The scholarship is also provided on the basis of cucet exam, according to the score achieved, a student gets the scholarship. Various internship opportunities are provided by the university, even in 1st semester, you will get the opportunity to do internships with various companies. Various competitions are organised at the college level, state level and at various levels and also gives the opportunity of semester exchange with foreign countries.

Various events are held at university such as music fests, dance fest and various Celebrities join the fests and motivate the students. The University library has a vast collection of books of various genres and e library is also available for the students which provide an opportunity to learn and grow. Classrooms are well furnished and are very neat and clean. Every class has the facility of projectors. University encourages students to participate in several activities and competitions and sports Activities are promoted on a large scale. University faculty also provides the facility of coaching to various exams such as upsc, gate, afcat etc.

Hostel facility is available at the university. There are several hostels available for boys and girls which are well furnished with multiple beds and almirahs. The hostel rooms are spacious. A different section has been made in the room as a study table. Meal quality is nice at the hostel mess and provides hygienic food and the different menu has been set for respective days. The registration process for a hostel is very simple. Room facilities available for girls are either for three or four. The hostel is available at an affordable fee that is 90,000/yr. Nearby various pg and rooms for rent are available and the campus is spread over 100 acres.
