Likes
- I think, the campus is being liked by everyone whether its staff member or a student, because the university consists of many blocks or departments and that too are named as A1, A2, A3, A4 & B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 & C1, C2, C3 & D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6,D7,D8
- Parks and all are made for the relaxation purpose of the student
- Car Parkings are available separately for the students and staff and that also inside the campus which is ambitious.
Dislikes
- The semester fees and other expenses is relatively higher as compared to other institutions
- Some students find the university’s rule such as strict attendance policies and accurate timings for the classes, quite stringent
- Mostly 2 common times, one is in morning nearby 8.50 AM to 9.50 AM and in evening nearby 3.50 PM to 5.00 PM, the rush is like horses and buffaloes! There is so much over crowded & most of the crowd occurs by the Autos, but no one do anything for that
Course Curriculum Overview
As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no any reservations in case of fee for the SC/ST students! They take semester fee and plus examination fee. Our semester fee is 1,20,500 per semester but after adding examination fee which is 2,500 its total 1,23,000. Scholarship they provide only for first year students, then after that if you maintain your CGPA till 7.5, then your scholarship continues in the senior semester also (means 2nd year)
Campus Life
Chandigarh University has students from across India and abroad, creating a culturally diverse environment. This diversity allows students to experience different cultures, languages, and traditions. Students often have opportunities to take part in inter-college competitions and national-level contests. Clubs also organise various workshops and certification programs to boost practical skills. Including Event participation, there is Active Participation and Students Clubs in Club Involvment. Infrastructure include a big, huge, large, over whelmed, nice and Modern Campus, Hostel Facilities, Sports and Recreation and Technological Infrastructure, etc.
Admission
I applied here because it was informed to me that this university is best for the Placements, so i chose it. The one thing i liked here is the Larged Campus and Infrastructure is overwhelmed here! I wanted to go to college at long distance from my home, this is also the reason to chose this and that is why i didn't go to any other college near to my home town. Admission procedure is simple, we can apply through online also by just going on their website cuchd.in, there they conduct our online exam and based on the percentage we got, they provide the scholarship also for first year to us. We can apply for the admission in physical mode also by visiting their in the A1 Block!
Faculty
The faculty-to-student bond is quite fine. Some faculties listen their students and some do not at all, they are in their attitude! Exams are conducted every semester in three ways MST 1 MST 2 Finals MST is of 30 marks total And Finals includes of total 75 marks! Exams are also tough and some are easier! But their checking is not good at all, they give less marks to the student, and if supply (failure of any subject) comes the student have to give reappear of that! For even a single supply also, the student have to pay 2,500 for that, which is a quite costlier.
