Remarks

You have to first qualify to jee main, then top 10% students qualified for jee advanced, then according to your rank, you will be allotted college in josaa counselling according to your choice filling, There is relaxation in cut off for obc, ews, sc, st category.

Course Curriculum Overview

I opted for cse in IIT Dharwad, because my 1st interest is computer science, and it's IIT. 14000 out of 1000000 students in all over India, faculty members are very knowledgeable and also experienced, there are quizzes, tutorials, Lectures, mid semester examinations, end semester examinations.

Class Size: 61Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Both 3rd year and 4th year students can apply for an internship, higher internship, the package is given by Microsoft in 2020, which is 43000 per month, and also other mnc, are coming for internship round, name of companies are available at the institute web site.

Placement Experience

If you are in 3rd year, then you can apply for an internship both on- campus and of- campus, and you can get pre placement offer from your internship company, 4th year students can apply for placement drive, all data are available at the institute web site, this year one of a student from cse got a package of 50,00,000 per annum package, average package 15- 16 LPA for cse.

Fees and Financial Aid

As it's IIT, its fees structure is under MHRD, so fees are affordable, about scholarships, you can avail your state government scholarship, national scholarship, students who got high cgpa in general and ews,obc category, they get discount in tuition fees.

Campus Life

As it's new IIT, 3rd generation IIT, it's all equipment and classes, the laboratory is new, we have attached bathroom, we have a library, study rooms, Besides it, we have many clubs like coding, music, drama, sports. Main fest of IIT Dharwad, PARSEC.

Hostel Facilities

For 1st year students, 4 people in 1 room. For 2 nd, 3rd, 4th year students, 1 single room, and from next year, we are shifting to our new campus, which is at 3 kilometres away from old campus, You can buy a bicycle for accommodation because maybe your classes are 1.5 kilometres away from your hostels.

Placement Experience:

This is the best part. The whole point of niat program is to get a study for the job. It's not like the old system where you chill for 3 years and panic in the 4th year. All the learning here are very different. From the first day itself we will be doing coding.

Over all IIT Dharwad is good not bad

I choose this college because I got computer science branch in IIT and fees is also low for me as a middle class student because I search in other nit have 2 lacks fee for one year for sc and fill this fee at the starting but here I fill 58500 in 1st sem and remaining in 2nd semester so it's And I applied for IIT Bombay here I choose chemical engineering but required rank is 679bbut my is 927 that's why not selected. Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

I applied for CSE and MnC branches of all the 1st and 2nd gen IITs along with the 3rd gen IITs, my rank was about 4.8k so I knew I could get CSE only in the 3rd gen IITs out of which I felt IIT Dharwad was the best. My main reason for choosing IIT Dharwad was CSE, also that it was mentored by IIT Bombay, so the syllabus is quite tried and tested, also Dharwad is near to the tech hubs of the country like bengaluru, pune, mumbai, hyderabad which is good for someone who is really passionate about CSE. IIT Dharwad is new but not forever..

The college comes within the list the prestigious colleges 'IITs' and that is the major reason to choose this college and not any other with my rank in jee advance. all you need to do is clear jee advance with a minimum rank of 16-17k to get entered and for computer science it is around 4-5k.
