Remarks

For taking admission to BSc biotechnology you have to give an entrance examination at Jamia milia university. You have to score at least 65 percent in the entrance examination to select BSc biotechnology. There is the benefit of reservation in entrance examination like if you are obc sc st or Kashmiri migrant then it's easy to crack the entrance test.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

In today's scenario biotechnology course is really a boon to mankind. In future, this course gonna give so much employment. Also in this pandemic era, we really need to take a further step in biotechnology. If we talk about the faculty of Jamia university then they are really supportive. They will help you in courses, and all the faculties are well mannered they understand the student's needs and according to it, they will provide you help. And there are total approx 35 students in BSc biotechnology and a nearly equal no of girls and boys. Here every faculty member is well qualified. They already have their PhD degrees. And their teaching methods are really so easy to understand. There are total 6semesters in the BSc biotechnology course. And you have to pass it all. Difficulty wise it's moderate if you really study well and give attention in class then it's easy for you to have good marks in the semester.

Placement Experience

4

After completing BSc, MSc or PhD students become eligible for campus placements. In 2020 total of 52 companies participated in campus placements. And the highest package is 41 lac per annum. And the average package is like 5 lac per annum. No of the students getting placements is like 257. My plan after getting a degree is that I will do further studies like MSc and then PhD because it's better if you want a beautiful job for you.

Fees and Financial Aid

BSc biotechnology course has 8000 rupees per year. But it's not included in the hostel fee. And if you have any financial problems then you may opt for the scholarship. There are many scholarships in Jamia like nsp, and also Jamia has its own scholarship program for needy students. And if you see a campus job then it's not that easy cause if you want a handsome salary then you should study for at least MSc. Cause BSc is not enough to get a good profile job. But yea some of the companies hire BSc students too for that you have to be very good in academics.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life at Jamia milia Islamia is really very wonderful. Here students are really helpful to each other. In Jamia library is so well mentioned. You can find many uses including our course related books, journals, different novels etc. Here there are enough facilities in the classroom. In Jamia, there is a large group where we can play many sports. And extracurricular activities include NCC, NSS, volunteers etc. There is a social group in Jamia called enactus. You can join in by giving some tests.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.
