Entrance Preview

I had written COMEDK exam. I scored 3031 rank and opted this college by preference. Sir MVIT is known for college placements. Companies like DE-SHAW , Amazon, Intel, Cleartrip, Exeter, Aricent, Akamai and many more companies visit for placement drives.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

There are many available courses All courses are good there like BE has many branches Computer science & Engg , Information Science, Biotechnology, electronics & communication , electric & electronic, civil, Mechanical engineering, MCA etc.I opted for CSE at MVIT. Placements of all branches are fairly good.

Internships Opportunities

College doesn't provide internship for BE candidate as per my knowledge, it do provide internship for ME student.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement is excellent at MVIT. Companies like DE-SHAW , Amazon, Intel, Cleartrip, Exeter, Aricent, Akamai, TCS, Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Mindtree, Sasken, tata elxsi, Mooncraft, Microsoft, Cumins and many more companies visit for placement drives.

College Events

4

We have technical fests like Kalanjali , which is celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy. Lots of completions and functions are organised like fashion shows, dance, technical on-spot programming, singing, drawing, Sudoku, games , exhibition for paintings.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee-structure is feasible 1.25 lac per year. College doesn't ask for money in extra in middle of course. Sir MVIT college is known for simplicity and culture. MVIT doesn't have showoffs. They are more concerned on quality education and does not ask for miscellaneous charges in name of development and fests.

Fees and Financial Aid

College do provide scholarship facility for OBC candidate of Karnataka. As per my knowledge, there is no loan facility. Faculties are quite helpful.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is quite interesting and full of fun. Gender ratio is like on-third are girls there are enough engineering labs for practice, Big space available for playground for cricket , football, basket ball. Completions for robotics are organised at wide level. Jam/debates are done at forums.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel are of 2 types in general. Both are cheaper based on standard. Food facilities for both hostels are common. They differ only in space.I loved hostel and its food. First category hostel is 2/3 sharing and separate beds and tables were provided. Second category are 2 sharing with more spaces.

Alumni/Alumna

As per my college there is no proper platform for alumni meet i think we can have some better platform to keep communication alive in future.

Exam Structure

Engineering is busy business by profession. Yeah, there are enough exams, tests. Almost in each semester , 3 series of internal tests. So, for Engineering, 18 internal tests in a semester. Internal tests also have lab internal. It is not hectic, rather we enjoyed the ups and downs.

Admission

It is quite simple. Based on COMEDK rank for non-karnataka people , candidates attend counselling and opt colleges based on their rank.CET is another exam conducted for karnataka local people. During Counselling, candidate will get provisional letter or can get confirmed letter for seat. Candidate has to pay 50k as cheaque to confirm the seat. After confirmation letter, candidate can visit respective colleges for admission. During admission, we need to submit rest amount of yearly tuition fee. We need mark sheets of 10+2 , 10th , photographs and passing certificate. Fee can be paid as cash or in cheaque.

Faculty

4.5

The education quality is fair and good at MVIT. The faculties are educated enough and has lots of knowledge. Faculties are dedicated and focused to give their best to demonstrate and explain each concepts. The provide enough hands on or piratical to prove the concepts.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
