After completing HS if you want to study English at Basirhat college the eligibility for this course is very straight. You have to have a minimum of 50% marks in higher secondary exams. For the BA General course, you have to pass the West Bengal higher secondary exam with a minimum of 45% marks in class 12. Admission is based on the marks. So 45% marks will not be enough. If you want to study here you have to get a minimum of 60% marks. A lot of seats are available but a lot of students apply every year.
