Remarks

The course eligibility is you have to pass the West Bengal higher secondary exam with a good percentage. We can find the application form on the Basirhat College official website. We have to fill up the application form with class 10th & 12th marks with all other necessary documents. You can choose the subject you want to take. In my case, I have chosen Bengali Political science English & History subjects in my BA General pass the course. The application fee was 2250 rs. And merit list was given on the college website based on the marks of the higher secondary exam. Yes, reservation seats are available for SC/ST/OBC but application fees stay the same during.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have chosen this course because I want to study for the government exams alongside my graduation. In the BA english course, we have about 150 students. We had around 8-10 professors. They all are highly qualified. 6 of them have a P.hd degree. We had to go to college regularly and they took classes consistently. We had around 15 students per professor. As it's a pass course We have many other teachers but we did not get the class of many other teachers. Exams are quite easy to pass and if we did not pass in one paper we had the chance of passing the exam next year. And our professor used to take mock tests and internal assessment tests.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college fees are reasonable. The admission fee was 2250 rs, then for the 2nd-semester fee was 600 rs for 3rd sem fee was 1540 rs for 4th sem fee was 600 rs 5th sem fee was 1700rs and 6th sem fees 600. Total fees were around 7300 in 3 years of college. And scholarship I got was Swami Vivekanda Scholarship. And scholarship for SC/ST/OBC candidates is available. Our college does not provide any campusing job and does not provide any financial assistance

Campus Life

3.5

Freshers party was organized in our college. And several cultural programs were conducted all around the years. Many seminars were conducted in various topic in our hall room. We had a very good library in our college with thousand of books available. It's quiet and pleasant. Our classrooms were big and it has a capacity of 150 students. The classrooms are clean and decently decorated. Our college also publishes our own journal every year. Our college conducts an annual sports program every year. And we have a union group in our college. They are for solving the problems of students.

I want to know bengali literature and all type of poems and proses that's why I choose B.a. in bengali literature. According to me, my course helps me in doing Masters in Bengali. From the point of view of improvements, I feel that digital classes can be conducted in the class by leaving the theory classes. Mere collage The exam level is basically hard and exams are conducted twice a year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

We were held a class for upto 1hrs, thus we had 4 class a day. Sometimes it is boaring sometimes it becomes striking, it depends on the mood. It is to say little knowledge is a dangerous thing, if you don't read you cannot pass the semester examination. Although it will provide you a second chance. But with change of syllabus the exam pattern also change. You need to attain a total percentage of 75(%) to maintain you honours subject otherwise you would be regarded as programme course student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Department of Bengali is one of the oldest Bengali department in the state. It offers undergraduate honours and postgraduate courses. Recently, they have started PhD courses as well. The Bengali department is actively engaged in research in hot topics in literature. The curriculam of Presidency university is most diverse among all other University, colleges in the state. It begins with very basic topics at the first year and ends with very specific research level papers at the final year. The syllabus is so advance that bachelors students can compare themselves with the masters level students after completeing the course. I will mention the bachelor course curriculam in summary: Semester I- Prachin Bangla Sahitya O Bangalir Itihas sandhan, Bangla bhasar itihas o bhasatotto, Semester II- Prak chaitanya juger bangla sahityer itihas, Madhyajuger bangla sahityer itihas o kabyapath, Semester III- Shorosh o soptodosh shotabdir samaj: itihas o chaitanyadeb, Ashtadosh shatabdir samaj sangkriti, changa-alanlkar o prof sangsodhan, Semester IV- Adhunik juger udbhab, gadya o probondho sahitya, kabya-kabitae itihas, natoker itihas o rupbhed, Semester V- Bangla Upanyas, Bangla chotogolpo, Rabindranath, Semester VI- Unish o Bish shataker bangla samaj songskriti o sahitya, bhinna bhasar sahityer itihas o tar obhighat, bharatiya alangkar shatra, sahitya o shilpo. Other than these compulsory courses, there are lot of exceptional elective courses that attracted me more towards joining this prestigious university. Since Presidency University select specific students through their difficult entrance tests, the semester exams should not be difficult for the students, but there are some papers in the course which needs to delt with extra care and attention to get extra marks.

Curriculum is essential to guide teachers in what to teach and, how much depth of knowledge is needed for that grade and a timeline to follow so the year will be completed.
