Remarks
I had scored decent marks in JEE mains which helped me secure admission in this college. The further process was quite simple. I had to go through Cap rounds where I had to submit a form with the names of colleges I wanted to apply for in the order of preference. I was eligible for Dr D Y Patil Institute of Technology for Civil Engineering which was my initial preference. Once I got the allotment letter I visited the college and completed all my admission process, which was quite easy as I had seniors in the college who were very supportive. The only improvement I expect from the college is that it needs a better campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
I used to watch Mega Structures on Nat Geo when I was a child, that brought about the interest in Civil Engineering. So choosing the course of my liking wasn't a difficult task for me. The faculty in the college is quite good, they are focused on almost all the student that are around. The exams are conducted according to the schedule from SPPU. Every year is divided into two semesters. The college does conduct unit tests and class tests, which keeps us prepared for the exams conducted by the university.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides tons of opportunities to the students to get some internships. We have been lucky to be interns on the Pune Metro project. The college provides you with multiple internships which benefit us in the course.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for campus placements after the end of the 6th sem. Adobe, Cognizant, Accenture, Capgemini are some of the companies that have offered placements. One of the student has secured a package of 40 Lakhs. And the average package is around 4.5 lakh. The college stands out in terms of placement percentage. I'm planning to study masters post my bachelors degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college doesn't hike fees post the admissions. I have been paying the same fees since my first year. I was eligible to apply for the Post Matric Scholarship for OBC students. This scholarship helps me pay 50% of my college fees.
Campus Life
The college is filled with events. All of the students from all the branches are always in to organise any event. All of the departments also have some social groups and clubs. Civil Engineering students can opt for ASCE. The college also participates in sports and backs the students to perform. The college library has a good enough collection of books.
