- Ratio of boys and girls is almost equal in most of the classes in the Computer branches.
- Faculties of the college are really appreciable as they are really helpful in most of the situations.
- College has a very strong placement rate as 95% students are placed every year.
Dislikes
- College lacks social interaction mainly for the first year students as first year students are not allowed in any of the college clubs
- College has very limited space and campus for all the engineering students
- Same campus is shared with students pursuing Pharmaceutical studies and the students of STR(School of Technology and Research).
Course Curriculum Overview
College does not have a specific curriculum as it follows the curriculum given by the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). Also, all the end semester exams are conducted by the same university as it is affiliated to it. For most of the part the syllabus is not based on real world application, but is theoretical and focuses more on memorizing concepts rather than solving real world problems. There is no problem in the teaching method of the faculties, but the curriculum of the course overall can be improved. I think the exams are conducted more often and the exams should only be conducted once in two months rather than a exam every month.
Internships Opportunities
Most of the students from the 3rd or 2nd year from the computer branch are doing an Internship either online or offline. Mostly they are online due to the college study hours The interships are not provided by the MNCS, but they are rather provided by some small companies and startups which are aspiring to have students who are ready to learn and work hard.
Placement Experience
Students apply for campus interviews from 3rd year end or from 4th year. Most of the students who are in the end semester of their 4 year get placed easily as it has a very good training and placement. The percentage of students getting placement in Dr DY patil clg is 95%. There are many IT companies for which students get placed, The major recruiters are TCS, Infosys,etc The highest package was nearly 50,00,000 per annum and the median package is 7 lakhs. Many students also get 13 to 18 lakhs of package. Our plan to do my masters after this degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees for my college is 127000.The bifergation is as follows Tution fees : 55218 Development fees :16565 Scholarship fees: 55217 Total fees: 127000 This fees is only for the students admitted through the cap rounds and not for direct admissions.Other fees includes exam fees 1350 for every semester as it is affiliated by SPPU. Other student also avail benefits of the scholarships of the mahadbt portal,like 10% fees for SC,ST categories.
Campus Life
There is a big fest in the college known as Sanskriti. Various programs like singing, dancing, cultural activities and most of the programs are arranged by this club. It is mostly held in the January. Campus life in the college is not very good for the first year as no clubs activities is allowed for 1st year. College wants first year students to focus on studies rather than other activities. The facilities provided by the College is great and there are plenty of labs. And other things related to study that the college provides Library is very good as it consist of many books related to vast number of subjects and all the areas are covered. There is no sports ground in the college, so there are no sports activities held in the college itself. But the college arranges other sports activities through other grounds.
Admission
I choose this college over other colleges as it has very strong placement rate. I tried many other colleges, but I got this college as my percentile matched with this college cutoff. The admission process of this college is quite simple. I got admission in this college throw cap rounds. The cut off the rate of this college is not so high. So many students would win to get a good college can easily get this college. I got admission in this college through MHTCET exam
Faculty
Every 20 students has a teacher guardian assigned to them. A class of 60 students has two class teachers. Most of the faculty of the college are approachable and they are helpful. Some faculties, like my class teacher Ms Pallavi Jadhav are very helpful regarding anything academic or non academic. Very few teachers are rude and arrogant, but most of the teachers are not. There are EndSems every semester conducted by the SPPU, and there are prelims before endsems for checking the preparation of the end SEM exams. Also there are two unit test in every semester which are for 2 to 3 units. The difficulty lies between easy to moderate. Most of the students clear the unit test without any difficulties
Interview Experience
No it did not included any kind of interview in any form . it was all about the marks you scored in your mhtcet exam and how many rounds you were in the cap round . The syllabus for the exam of mhtcet is well known and is the same as the syllabus of the Maharashtra state board of class 12th
Night Life
There's not a big campus in the college for other activities rather than studies, so there is no big gym and cafeteria for the students to enjoy after the college study hours. But there is a library and canteen students usually stay after the classes for some time. Most of the times when the college is over, students step out of the college and not hang out in the college itself. But there are various other places near the college where students prefer to hang out. Not in the college.
