Entrance Preview

COMED-k , i scored a around 113/180. College is the best in mysore and best reviews .Also since it was autonomous college i opted for this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

First year course is common to all the students consisting of the basic engineering subjects such as math, chemistry , physics , electricals ,computer science etc. Each subject has course outcome which specifies how the outcome of what we are studying , which gives us a good outline of how to use this knowledge in the future. Second year course are branch dedicated , depending on what branch you've picked.

Internships Opportunities

The college provides internship in companies like Biocon but only to the 4th year students, i have yet to start my internship , so i have no experience.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement department arranges campus interviews from various national and multi-national companies for campus recruitment and also helps various Head of Departments in placing the students for project work at industries and other research & development organisations. The placement center has an impressive track record of both placements and participating industries.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure BE in Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, [SJCE] Mysore is given below, Fee per year INR 1,18,750 (Approx) Total fee on completion of degree INR 4,75,000 (Approx). The fee structure for studying here is a little expensive i would say , but can be earned back after completing the course.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is pretty good. the gender ratio is around 950 girls for every 1000 boys i.e 0.95:1. All sports are encouraged in the college , some of which includes football, basketball , cricket, table tennis, tennis , badminton, etc. There are alot of workshops and clubs based on robotics , coding , aircraft designing.

Exam Structure

Each semester has 5 test and a semester end exam. Among the 5 test , 3 of them are internals which are held at the starting of the month , in between these test we an event i.e either a quiz , assignment etc. The aggregate of these 5 tests are taken for 50% of your grade and other other 50% are taken from your semester end exams. The lab test have their own grade which does not effect your prime subjects grade.

Admission

After the comed-k results had been announced , i went to the interview and opted for sri jayachamarajendra college of engineering in the 2nd round of the interview and paid the comed-k fee during the interview. Later on, came to the administration block of the college procured the the admission form , filled it up and payed the remaining fee to the college.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

I applied to colleges like BMSIT and Sir MVIT, and I had confirmed seats there, too. I chose RNSIT because it has a better reputation for placements in my branch and the campus environment felt more welcoming. I didn't get into RVCE because my KCET rank wasn't high enough for their top branches, as the competition was very tough that year. The admission process is simple. They mainly take students through KCET and COMEDK. You need at least 45% in your 12th boards (PCM). Most students prefer KCET because the fees are lower. Once the seat is allotted through counseling, you just visit the campus, submit your documents, and pay the fees. The whole process was quite smooth and well-organized."

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
