Remarks

I applied for COEP, VIT, PICT, VIIT My admission was through General Quota For Mechancal Engineering: minimum 92percentile must be there. Admission process is quite a smooth and student friendly and many have selected thos colege as their personal choice.

I did not get CS as I wanted same, bu I also wanted to get into somewhat reputed college, so I opted for Mechanical at VIIT. Per 5 students 1 faculty is there. Almost all faculties as M-Tech, and many have completed their phd and many are pursuing. Easy Term Exams as autonomy is there

Excellent Research Internship Opportunities are avalable to students in TY and Fourth Year College has tie up with Tifr Mumbai and Very good other companies where bunch of students go everyyear and many cs it internships are also there

Compared to other colleges fees are bit high here. But students opt for may Government scholarships for students on onlne portal. u get good amount of feees waiver I have received "Post Matrix Scholarship for OBC Students"

Campus Life

Campus area is bit small but all events are celebrated with great enthusiasm, many students participate in Gandharva and Many other collaborative events conducted by EDC VIIT and NSS Viit and TEDx Viit. All journals are proc=vided by college itself and many ref. books are there in library. Comparitively small classrooms are there. Excellent sports infrastructure is there and good opportunities at national level.

Life of a mech_engineer at VJTI

Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.

VIIT -a good option?

1) I applied to VIT pune ,COEP pune ,PICT pune,CUMMINS ,PCCOE . I didnt get these colleges because i didnt have percentile for merit for that college i had 95.84 percentile and their cutoff for CS branch was 97 at that time which was difficult for me . 2)students can enroll in our college using MHTCET and JEE mains score .Through cet cell there are cap rounds total three and last one spot round (may have changed now).Apart from this there are no tests or exams to get an admission in this college...Read More
