Entrance Preview

This was directly through college prospectus/form. We applied based on our score in 12th. I scored 68%. I opted for this college becuase it was no 1 for mechanical engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum was one of the best among other colleges of the same stream. The college was having adequate research facilities. The professors were all very hardworking and talented. I opted for electives like automobile engineering. The faculty was very good. Though I do not remember his name right now. I am 2006 batch passout.

Internships Opportunities

No they did not provide internship. I dont have any comments for that. However we used to get scholarships.

Placement Experience

2

In 2006 placement was only around 5-7%. Some of my colleagues got placed as they were lucky. However I could not get placed as very few industries turned up during our placement. Some students got placed in Software industries where they got a monthly salary of 20000 at that time.

College Events

3.5

The best event I remember was annual gatherings where the college was arranging a very good get together backed up with variuos events like dance, singing, fashion shows, rose days, traditional days. It helped us to be united and to relieve some of our stress. It also developed our common sense and personality.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was up to the mark. It was neither too expensive nor too cheap. However being a middle class student I faced some difficulty during paying instalments. We used to pay around 70000 to 80000 per annum. But we could pay in instalments and sometime we can take permission from principal and pay after some time.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not avail any scholarship, however my colleagues have availed and it was a very good initiative by college/govt to provide scholarships to the students who really need it and who really deserves it.

Exam Structure

Exams and labs were very hectic. We could not find time to study as most of our time was getting wasted in unnecessary assignments, exams and lab work. However some faculties understood this and sometimes they used to allow us to leave early to prepare for class tests and preliminary exams.

Admission

College released the form and we filled in. However the admission procedure was centralised. We went to VRCE college for getting admission. I got YCCE college in third round.I first got G H Raisoni, which I rejected as it was not up to the mark and then I opted for YCCE.

Faculty

4

The faculty was too good. They were always putting their 100% efforts but students were not willing to learn. Hence sometimes they blame faculties that they were not up to the mark. I feel that faculties like Mr Oakh, Mr Deshmukh, Mr Giradkar, etc have done a great jon. and I am always thankful to them.

7th semester or 4th year makes you eligible for internships and placements. NVIDIA visits our college often i don't know much about the placements as im only in first year but yes the eligibility for the placement is over CGPA which eliminates a lot of students during the placements nearly ~75% of the students get placed (including off and in campus) the other 20% pursue higher studies the other 5% go for start ups

Campus placement has good rate. Most of the students passing out get in-campus placements and some of them go abroad for higher education. The average package here is around 700000 to 800000. Very much reliable in placement perspective.
