This college provides a good environment for learning and educating ourselves for better patient care.The authorities are cooperative in every way possible. The hospital provides us facilities to become good doctors to treat our patients.

I was determined to become a good doctor and I took the NEET exam in 2013. I got a good rank and joined this college as the education and knowledge imparted here is very good.I am blessed to be a student of this college.

The course curriculum is very vast. It is a 4 1/2 year course of 19 subjects.The subjects are tough, mostly the clinical ones.We have to attend wards in our clinical postings and read and revise our course thoroughly.we have to continuously focus our lives to dedicate for our patients.

Our college provides internship programs. It is a one year clinical posting in various departments including medicine, surgery, pediatrics, gynecology and various other departments after the MBBS course gets completed. The stipend is Rs 15000 per month for 1 year.

Once we finish our internships we can apply anywhere like in PHCs, CHCs,other hospitals etc. We can opt for PG or OPSC exams. We can do further courses or apply for jobs in the hospitals.There are a lot of learning opportunities after we complete our MBBS.

We have an annual cultural programme every year,where students participate in dance,music,drama and various academic events like quizzing,debate and literary writings etc.We have various platforms for development of our sports talent and to keep ourselves in a healthy state.Every year we have a common programme for all the medical colleges of Orissa known as Inter medics.

The fees are just for the government medical college. In first year it is 25000 and 20000 for the next subsequent years, for next 4 academic years.It includes all the required things for which fees are taken. Students get scholarships to pursue their education.The fees are mostly feasible.

There are many scholarships programs for students.Prerna scholarship is given. Cafas scholarships are awarded by Medhabruti association of Orissa. That is Rs 10000 every year. Students are also awarded money prises in various academic events.Also scholarships are given for students doing research works by ICMR Delhi Institute.

The girls and boys ratio is 1:2.There are equal opportunities for everyone.There are many extracurricular activities in the college.There are quizzes,literary writing events, debates and sports events.Awards are also given.Infact, various inspirational and motivational events are also conducted.

The hostel facilities are good with adequate and timely water supply and electricity.There are TV rooms and reading and study rooms.The Terrace is quite a pleasant place.There are fields for sports like cricket,badminton and other games.There are separate hostels for boys and girls.

Seniors are very friendly and helpful in this college both at the college and hostel level.They cooperate with the juniors in various events.They give proper guidance on how to study and learn.In wards also the seniors teach quite a lot. In evening wards and bedside clinics the senior PGs teach us a lot.

We have 9 semesters and 4 major professional exams.Semesters provide a good preview of the professional exams.Our college conducts the exams in a strict manner. Every year we learn quite a lot that will make us good doctors in the future.In the practical exams we are given cases to study and learn in a great deal.

The faculty in our college are very educated and possess a great amount of knowledge. They teach us sincerely in classes and in the wards. They impart their knowledge upon us with very much care and patience.They conduct CMEs and seminars frequently to enhance our knowledge in recent advances in medical science.
