The competitive exam that I appeared for is COMEDK. A counseling process is held for qualified students. Verification of documents is done. There are three rounds of counseling held. A student can is free to select a college on the basis of one's marks, rank, and quota. The cut-off rank for this college was 9000 for computer science and engineering under general merit. After the counseling process, the student had to go for admissions.

Computer courses are one of the most popular and sought-after courses for most engineering aspirants. A job in his field is highly technical and in high demand. This is what has motivated me to choose Information science and engineering. The faculty-student ratio is approximately 1:15. The teachers are very supportive. They were encouraging even during the pandemic situation. Assignments and quizzes are given to students to keep a regular check on them. Internal and external exams are held by the university. Apart from these exams programming tests and GATE pattern exams are also held. It is not very difficult to pass the university exams because the tests conducted by the college help the students prepare well. Hence the overall results are satisfying.

The fee structure is different for different programs. The fees need to be paid at the start of every academic year. VTU provides scholarship opportunities for students, especially with a reservation. This provides financial assistance to students with financial instability. The university thus aims at providing quality education to all sections of society. Internship opportunities are provided to students with stipends.

The college organizes inter-college sports tournaments every year. Two fests Cultura and Aura are held every year. There is a central library in the college accessible to all students. There are advanced and well-equiped laboratories in several departments. The classrooms are equipped with smart boards. There are several technical and non-technical clubs in the college.
