Having aim of going towards MBA, I have decided to pursue graduation in B.Com for which Nirma University was a fine option available. NU is NAAC accredited and has been the first ever university of Gujarat. The institute has been approved from UGC & other prominent agencies too. The university offers various UG, PG courses across different departments and for B.Com admissions at Nirma the selections are based on the Merit list of candidates 10+2 performances
Course Curriculum Overview
Currently being in my 2nd year, I am eligible enough to tell about the facilities of education here. Although a part of our course has been ruined through the Covid situation but our university had made proper plans to give students the best learning through online mode too. The B.Com programme is a general three year degree which provides all fundamental content to students in the commerce field.
Internships Opportunities
The internship round is also quite the same because students from final year participated in it. I don't know that much about the offers or opportunities posted in this round for our university but I hope I will be able to get decent offer when I participate in this activity of Nirma.
Placement Experience
Our university has recently completed the placement drive but as I am currently not in the 3rd year so I wasn't eligible for the same. Students who were eligible for the placements got a handful of opportunities as Companies like Dell, Tata consultancy, Deloitte, Reliance participated in the drive. Some students received huge packages and management was the top sector in terms of offer's. The highest salary for the recently passed out batch was INR 15 LPA
Fee Structure And Facilities
Some institutes may charge less than Nirma University for the B.Com course but I don't think they provide this level of content that NU offer's.The whole fee of our B.Com programme was INR 3.55 Lacs & students had to pay it on annual basis across the 3 years of the course
Campus Life
I came across a number of Activities and events during my campus days of 1st year while most of my 2nd year was in online mode only. The business conclaves,annual fest and social activities of our university are quite good and to organise them some very popular clubs/committees are there. I have always been a sports enthusiast and I am eager to participate in the sport's fest of NU because I've heard alot about it.
Hostel Facilities
I have chosen Nirma University because it is not far from our residence and hence opting for hostels was a requirement for me. The institute offer's facilities of residence differently to boys and girls for which they are charged an annual fee of INR 70 K. Ordinary facilities are available in the rooms and those who want to avail some special services may pay some additional charges for the same thing.
Admission
If a candidate wishes to pursue B.Com from Nirma University it is required to have any one Accountancy,Economics or Mathematics subjects ik their 10+2 scoring at least 60% of marks. The final selection of applicants is done as per the merit list prepared by the university.
