Know my B school and its Corporates Association

I applied for all IIMs and got shortlisted by 12 IIMs. I gave interviews in 11 IIMs and got selected for admission. I chose IIM Nagpur among all. I came under quota as a PWD candidate. The minimum criteria for the program were 45 percentile and the age limit was none any. The admission process was simple but hectic. The counseling day was good. There was only document verification and it finished within 20 minutes

I chose this course because I have a great interest in business and face new challenges. Moreover, I can add value to people living through this course, and gives me maximum pleasure. The number of faculty is approximately 50 and students are 500 including first year and second year. So ratio seems to be 1:10. All the faculties are Ph.D. holders and experienced. Term exam is over at its usual time and it was good and productive.

33 companies have visited the campus for providing summer placement and internships and only13 have done their SIP process complete. The company visiting companies are Microsoft, RBI, ICICI, TCS, Bank Of America, Tata Matalika, and many more. Maximum roles are from sales and marketing, finance, HR, logistics, Operation. The stipend highest stipend is 1.25 lakhs with the role of the program manager.

Students become eligible for campus placements at the starting of the second term. Presently, 10 to 20 companies have visited our campus and offered 5 to 6 offers to my knowledge. The highest offer made in the summer internship process is 1.25 lakhs by Microsoft, Still, SIP is going on. After getting the degree, I want to dedicate myself to the job. Then I will go for startups.

The fees structure is term wise and there are a total of six terms. There are many scholarships that are also given to help the SC, ST, PWD candidates. It also ensures that no student's study must be stopped due to financial problems. The name of some scholarships is SNBS, National Scholarship for Meritorious students and many more.

Right now, we have not been on campus. Due to Covid, we are attending the classes from home. Soon we have been on campus. Our new campus is built at Mihan which is expanded into 124 acres. We are expected to be off campus by December.

Since we have not been called in the campus till due to Covid. So we don't have experience of facilities, about the room, meal served, But Hostel charges we are paying is 35000 per term. We have two hostels on two campuses. One is there on the newly built campus at Mihan and one is at the old campus at VNIT.

The criteria for admission is first to clear the CAT exam. Then college will shortlist based on merit and call the students for PI and then there is a counseling process and afterward, you got the offer letter. I prepared for the CAT exam and PI round through self-study only. I took the help from the internet and videos available on YouTube.
