Admission to CMRIT can be taken through several exams like KCET, COMEDK or management quota. The fee structure depends on the mode of admission. CMRIT offers B.E degree in several branches which include CSE, ECE, EEE, ISE ,CIVIL ,MECH. The duration of all B.E courses is 4 years.

CMRIT is a University under VTU. The course is both descriptive and lab oriented which is necessary. Our college encourage us to take up several mooc courses and do mini projects every semester to upskill ourselves. Faculty are highly qualified and many have pursued PhD. They are friendly, supportive and always willing to guide us at any point of time. Every student have a mentor who would help to resolve any queries, be it academics or any personal issues.

CMRIT provides internship opportunities where students can work under COE (Center of Excellence). Students can work in teams or can pick upindividual projects. They are also guided by faculty members to complete their projects successfully. Projects can be picked up from branch related and also interdisciplinary projects can be carried out.

A good number of companies both service and product based visit our college every year. To name a few Companies, Capgemini, Cognizant, TCS, Deloitte, Dell Technologies, Wipro, Accenture, Juspay, Epicor, Koch and many more. The highest package was from Amazon with 25LPA and average salary starts from 3LPA. There is placement opportunity for all departments. CMRIT help students to get good placements by providing high quality placement trainings under the TYL(Tie Your Laces) Program. Both aptitude and course related training will be provided here.

Our college keep updating the students about the scholarship schemes available frequently so that the elegible students can apply to it. The fee structure depends on the basis on which exam the student has taken admission. The college fee for a student who has taken admission through KCET is less when compared to COMEDK and management quota.

Campus infrastructure is good, classrooms are spacious, gym, playground, canteen, auditorium, library, parking area are available. Library has huge stock of books and well organized. There is access of e-books as well. There are several student clubs, research and development team and we are free to join in any baqsed on our interests. Our college organized various events such as yearly fests,ethnic day and several other activities. Overall campus life is good.
