I took up CET, Karnataka exam in the year 2008. Scored a rank of 6000 odd opted for this college for it's 100% placements track record.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure is well organised. Weekly assessments were there. 1st and 2nd sem is a breeze. The actual syllabus kicks in 3rd sem onwards. And it was a pattern where every semester somehow has one crazy subject where people would go for tuition and just manage passing.
Internships Opportunities
Well during my time there, that is 2008 to 2012. I did not see any form of internships for the engineering batch. But the MBA and MCA students did have internship.
Placement Experience
Placement is excellent and almost 100% like what they advertise. I got through 2 companies. Cognizant and Mindtree. (I chose Cognizant) There are tier one and two companies coming in to. Like Musigma, Alcatel , etc. Placements start from the 7th sem and the qualifying aggregate is 60% with a little leeway of 5% depending on the case.
College Events
There were yearly college fests, called Kalanjali, and other inter college ones. Fashion shows, war of the rock bands, dance battles, singing competitions, and all that jazz. There were random street plays near the coffee shop from our famous theater group - GAP. Dance Flash mobs towards the last sem when that was the trend. We had loads of robotic events and workshops.
Fee Structure And Facilities
We paid the fees yearly once (covering two semesters.) So that would be at the beginning of every odd semester. It was affordable the first year. and then you could see the fees almost exponentially increasing. So on an average, yearly fees was Rs 35,000 and transportation Rs. 10,000.
Exam Structure
Exam structure the first two years were chilled out. But the 3rd year the principal introduced some weird format where every monday we had two tests (internals) for the rest of the semester. So that basically had us studying (or in my case last minute studying) almost every week. Which resulted being quite fruitful in the end.
Admission
Post selection through CET counselling it was just a matter of showing up to the college on admission day and filling forms and paying the semester fee. ATM and bank is inside the campus itself. Not too much running around. Basic documents were asked.
Faculty
Faculty is really good and dedicated. There are times when we as students bunk or do things to get on the lecturers nerves. But when it comes to the times we need their help, they have always been there for us. Be it going a little easy on the internal marks or explaining a topic over and over again.
