Review of IIM Nagpur

I applied for the IIMs only and as soon as I got selected by a few IIMs I started narrowing down to the best in terms of ROI for me. The admission process for IIM Nagpur is very smooth and fast. The criteria for admission is that you need to clear the cut-off floated by the institute for CAT Exam. If you have work experience with you, it will be an added advantage.

The faculty and student ratio is very good. All the professors are friendly and clear the doubts. They answer the questions over email and also arrange for doubt clearing sessions because the sessions are going on in virtual mode at the moment. Term exams were moderately difficult but after studying in class and with all the doubt clearing sessions it became easy to understand and clear the exams.

Most of the internships offered are in the marketing, general management, and sales domain. But companies for other profiles also come to the campus drive like finance, consulting, analytics. In short, a variety of opportunities are provided at the campus.

Placement provided is 100% of our college. Our placement committee is very transparent and tries to get 100% placement for the batch. Even if somehow someone doesn't get placed then also there are an ample amount of off-campus opportunities for jobs.

The fee is approximately Rs 15 lacs other than your personal expenses and mess expenses. The summer placement process is still going on for us and we cannot say about the average stipend now. Various scholarships are also available but there are eligibility criteria for the same. One must look into the details of scholarships available on the website.

Books are received by us via post before due time. Classes are virtual at the moment and clubs and committees are conducting regular sessions, quizzes, competitions, and mentorship sessions for students. For the names of clubs and committees visit, the website and everything is available there.

Hostel fees are around 30000 for a trimester and mess charges are taken separately from this. Personal expenses are also not included in this amount. The hostel registration process is easy and rooms are very nice at the hostel.

The process of admission included only one round that was a Personal Interview. I did not prepare in-depth for this round because I have experience of giving multiple interviews. But basic questions of the interview should be clear to oneself. The process was totally easy and relaxed. When I gave the interview professors were very calm and asked easy questions from me. I happen to impress them with the diversity in my profile.
