I am in Cummins College of Engineering for women. Here are different percentage criteria for different feild. The teacher staff is good. Placement is also well. Highest package of placement is 45,00,000 Rs

Course Curriculum Overview

We get 4 months for study and after that Semester exam was held. Teachers teach well and if the exam is near and the syllabus is complete they take extra classes. due to covid 19 exams were held online. In which only mcqs we had to solve.

Class Size: 42Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Internships Opportunities

We can appeal for different internships like Internshala, verzoa, IEEE, AICTE, etc. Some are paid and some are free. I will prefer to do free internships. And also I think after first year you should do internships.

Placement Experience

Due to covid, we didn't visit any companies yet. Highest package is 45,00,000 rs and average package is 3,00,000 rs. 40% of students gets placements through college. After degree I will apply for GATE exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

According to caste college fees differ. Cummins College of Engineering also has their own different scholarship such as Leena poonewala scholarship, Samastha Scholarship, Cummins Scholarship and so on.

Campus Life

We have clubs like language clubs, Google developer clubs. We have also a lecture on the Competitive exam. We also get books from the library. They also held seminars for us which will be very helpful to us. Hostels are also near.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. The admission process was good, you can take the admission through the CAP round or directly on the basis of your JEE Main score. The cutoff varies on the basis of the branch and the seats available. The application form and all the information regarding fees and dates are available on the college website or you can directly contact the institute. Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samastha provides a lot of benefits for women's education, there are reservation benefits for SC, ST and OBC categories. General Category students can also avail many benefits through various Scholarships. Good Placements!! (That is all what matters right?)

I didn't take any entrance exams. My admission was purely on the basis of my JEE MAIN score. Cut-off varies according to the branch, and it is different every year. I found out about this institute through my uncle, who is an employee of TATA CUMMINS INDIA LTD. College gives numerous reservation benefits and scholarships to students but sadly, I didn't receive any :( The admission process should be digitalized so that it would be convenient for people who are from different states or cities because the admission process takes a lot of days to get completed....Read More
