CAT and being a successful H.R was always my aim and IIT Kharagpur is a renowned college with good placements and experienced professors so I opted for this college and my CAT score was 88 percentile.

The course structure is well structured with every nuance of Human Resource keeping in mind. Every domain of H.R will get covered through our course structure. There are various labs also for psychology and business statistics which help us to become good H.R professionals.

Yes, our college provides a summer internship with an average of around 50000. Some of the companies who use to come and provide internships are investment Yodlee, Tega Industries, Anand group of companies.

We have a very small batch size and 100% placement is there with an average of around 9. Some of the companies who come for placements are IBM, Philips, Cosmic HQ, Altimetrik, Tega Industries, Delloite. Some of the companies like Delloite, Tega Industries give PPOs as well.

This is the first time that I will be a part of various cultural and technical events. Spring Fest and Kshitij(techno-management fest) is going to be held in Jan end and it probably one of the biggest fests of India with participants from various parts of the country.

Comparing to other B-Schools who took lofty amount for a management course, our college fees is just around 4 lakhs for 2 years including hostel and mess charges. Apart from this, we don't have to put money here and there so much on various events which usually happens in other B-schools.

I am not aware of scholarships for my course but yes we have State Bank and Punjab National Bank who provide loans to students at very low-interest rates.

Our college is a diverse place to live with people from the North(J&K) to people from the south (Kerala). We have people from east to extreme west also so we are a diverse college. Girls are obviously less in number than boys but that's not an issue it's a chill place to stay with total freedom and individuality. Various competitions happen from time to time by various societies of our college.

Alumni Network is a boon to any college and we are blessed with that. Our alumni specially B.Tech alumni use to visit college every now or other day and they turn out to be very helpful in terms of placements or any other help they can do.

Particularly for MHRM students, the course structure is not so hectic in spite of having a well-structured course. We use to have labs and tests frequently but we can still have time to chill out. We have two-semester in a year which also doesn't put much pressure on us unlike other B-schools

The notification was released around 10-15 days later to CAT result. After filling the for first shortlisting came. The first shortlisting happened through CAT then we had an interview post Essay writing process. Final shortlisting was done based on the cumulative score one gets after summing up marks of CAT+Essay Writing+Personal Interview.

Our course was started one of the oldest course of IIT Kharagpur and hence the professors. Our professors have vast experience in their domain and are renowned professionals with various national and international journals under their belt. Few of the professors are even working or worked with the Government of India.
