Remarks
I didn't apply for many colleges I was a NEET aspirant back then but obviously it didn't work so I decided to go for BSc, For that, you don't have many options if you want to do it in Delhi so Jamia was the best option for me. The Addmission process was based on the entrance test but there's an eligibility criterion of 50% in +2. The entrance exam was moderate not very hard but not much simple. Cutoff remains around 50-55 each year for general, for categories expect 5-6 marks less. 1 st list of selected candidates will be provided based on scores after that 2nd and 3rd list depending on availability. If you qualify for the test, the rest would be easy if you have all the documents, addmission processes will be completed in no time.
Course Curriculum Overview
I always had an interest in physics. If you understand physics you know nothing is more beautiful than that. As for Jamia my experience doing Bsc physics there was as beautiful as physics is. Faculty members will not satisfy you for sure in the first year but there are some faculty members, for them, I can say are the best if you have an interest in learning they will help you in every step. But in the end, it's up to you if you want to learn no one can stop you and for that, we had the library we learned much more there than in our classes. The reading room is open up to 2 am at night so you have all the time to learn. The lab is good equipments are good. There are two sessional exams before semester exams. Scoring is 25% for Session and 75% for semester exam and you have to pass both. Level of exam depends on the teacher but will be completely from the syllabus so it's not hard to pass it.
Internships Opportunities
The internship will be provided but not many students get that, maximum students prepare for JAM at that time no more than 1-2 students contact placement cell for an internship so they don't work hard on that but if you need it you have to contact the placement coordinator he'll surely help.
Placement Experience
The placement cell will provide you with internships from the starting of the final year. But not very many students will get that. There is very little placement for Bsc courses. As my experience, they provided us some internship and some research jobs but nobody gets one so I cannot say about placement after Bsc but you will get the internship if you are active and is in contact with the placement coordinator. Most of the students go for the masters so they don't work much on providing jobs and placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee Structure for Bsc is 7000 per year so it's very much easy for everyone to afford. Financial assistance is not provided for such courses, is there for courses with a higher fee but scholarships are there. MOMA scholarship and scholarship provided by Alumni association etc but do not expect much as they prefer backward students and students pursuing professional courses which demand a high fee.
Campus Life
Life on the campus is as same as in any college but much better as the campus is large students from all over the country study there, you learn their culture their language. You will have months ling Annual fests as every faculty have their own fest and in the foundation, the day is also celebrated so you will enjoy being there. Zakir Husain library is one of the biggest libraries here in Delhi you will find every book and the best part is you can get any book irrelevant to your course. So if you want to learn anything nobody is stopping you. And same goes for sports every faculty has their own intra faculty sports tournament, as well as inter-faculty though I never made it to inter-faculty I tried. You can also have intra department tournament, and if you love cricket what's better than to play in Bhopal ground or watching from the Virender Sehwag pavilion. As far as social groups there are many but I was never a part of them, so I have not much to talk about them.
