Remarks

The campus's excellent infrastructure, facilities, and faculty attracted me to this school. The college has good placements, according to my seniors. The admission process is based on the marks you get in CAT atleast 50% marks are required. After that you need to fill admission form available on their website. They took an amount Rs 1000 at the time of registration. One can visit their official website for more information.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

In this student-centered university, students learn through a variety of methods. Students will have a great time studying at my university. The evaluation pattern is very flexible and does not rely solely on a single parameter to determine the outcome of the evaluation. 5-6 parameters are included in the evaluation: case discussion, class participation, assignments and quizzes, as well as end-of-term projects and end-of-term exams. As a result, we're constantly exposed to the subject. The faculty student ratio was really balanced too. Each member of the faculty has a wide range of industry experience at the highest levels. When they explain concepts and situations, they use real life examples. Teacher backgrounds are diverse, but they all share a common goal: to impart as much knowledge as possible. There is a high level of energy in the classroom.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

In collaboration with HCL Tech, the college offers a two-month internship programme. Internship periods are chosen based on the intern's interest area. And we used to get tasks which can done with college studies.

Placement Experience

4

Following successful completion of a course at HCL or another corporate company, the employee and the company will agree on a job placement. This is what drives us to learn concepts and their practical applications. Our knowledge of the company and its environment makes it easy for us to make valuable contributions to the company.

Fee Structure And Facilities

A flexible and affordable fee structure has been established. There is a high cost to attend a college of this calibre because the students are provided with world-class education and infrastructure. Included in the fee is tuition, room and board, laundry, and hostel costs. Students are free to pay mess and tuition fees on a semester-to-semester basis. If you're a student, you'll have the option of receiving scholarships and loans from the college. The top two students will receive a scholarship of INR 50,000 each. It is possible to get a loan from HDFC bank. A loan of 3L was obtained for my education, and it will be repaid once I start working.

Campus Life

4

Since the university has invested heavily in infrastructure, campus life is very pleasant. In addition, the college has separate grounds for cricket, tennis, volleyball, and a volleyball court, as well as a stadium indoors for basketball. As a result, students who wish to spend time playing games will be able to do so with ease. There are also options for music.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Postgraduate students have access to single rooms in the university's hostels, which are well-equipped. In this way, you can concentrate on your studies in a quiet and private environment. When it comes to food, there are two dining halls that students can choose from. Most of the time, these dining halls are open 24 hours a day. Every six months, the options become available. Three to four tuck shops are available to students in addition to the cafeterias. Loans are available through the HDFC bank, but students can also borrow from other banks. To finance my studies, I took out a loan of Rs. 3 lakhs, which will be paid back when I return to work at HCL

No companies as here only lawyers of arbitration and other domains come to hire students. Most students though have PPO from their interning companies but not real 10-20 LPA placements for Galgotias and that i wish change because our university academics and the kind of learning that is provided is at par with that of NLUs.

Packages aren't as good or big as NLUs as 4-5 lakhs is median and just 25% students gets placements from University. Most students though go for litigation and I am also going to do the same as this is how I want to build my career and take it forward. Even LLM is also an option and GLA University is the one from where I will do, if I plan to do masters.

Average package at GLA University may range between 5-7 lakhs but one student has managed to get placements of 55 lakhs and that is still the record placement from GLA University campus Mathura. Around 70-75% students are placed every year but I will be preparing for GATE as my ambition are to be atleast post graduate if not a PHD.

Amity University, Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)
Reviewed on Nov 15, 2024(Enrolled 2018)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Overall curriculum was good that they make proper schedules of classes and all but there was something lacking is that sometimes the professor was absent and we wasn't aware about that and sitting in that class without knowing they should inform us or make a proper arrangement for replacing of class with other teacher and also there was lacking of technology in studies I didn't remember how many times they used the projector for proper teaching.
