Remarks

Good aspects-1) It is an IIT, so it's an institute of national importance.2) Right now, running with a temporary campus, but soon(by 2022 end) will be shifting to a bigger permanent campus(470 acres). So, the campus will be pretty big and sufficient, with many facilities.3) Location- It is located on the easily accessible Pune-Bengaluru National Highway(NH48). It is 30 KM away from the educational hub of Hubli. It has excellent weather all-around, with some really cool greenery.Bad aspects-1) Being a 3rd gen IIT, it is still finding ground on the industrial map. Placements aren't the best, but hey, which institute has so? when it has just begun functioning.Admission process-1) Make sure to do well in JEE Advanced and clear the cutoff for the respective branches in the Institute. The cutoff is not revealed until the end of the counselling process.2) Once JEE Advanced results are announced and you have qualified, first thing to do is register yourself for the JoSAA Counseling, for which the website will be provided to you. Select the colleges and the branches(available for you from the list) you wish to apply for and decide the preference order for each.3) There are 6-7 rounds of counselling, with 2-3 days for each. Decide at the end of every round about what to do,l. In simple words, either fix your seat or drop the seat and wait for a better choice in the subsequent rounds.4) Once you confirm your seat, provide the necessary documents and confirm your admissionReasons for choosing-1) I'm from Bengaluru, and since the institute is near to Bengaluru(440 KM), I chose this.2) The culture is good, with less population, you will not feel ignored. Apart from native kannada speakers, students come from all over India, and interacting with them helps you learn a lot, especially the different cultures, and a little of other languages as well:)

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is good, especially with the recent introduction of Minors Programme. Academics are pretty fine to manage. Students will feel comfortable, and find few courses interesting. Overall, it's good.Faculty-wise, the institute is still expanding, trying to recruit new and experienced faculty. They are good, doing a decent job by supporting the students well.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students have opportunities to get placed or work as interns, right from their 7th semester. Statistically, the institute is not on one of the best footings, but has great potential to improve. For the 2020-2021 season, highest package offered was around 40 lakh, with average being around 10-12 lakh. The percentage of students getting placed is 50-60 percent. My plans after getting the degree, is to either immediately pursue for a master's degree, or in one-two years, depending on the situation.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There are Scholarship opportunities, which is merit-based. But, the point to note is, it's only for students with a relatively poor economic background (family income of less than 4 lakh per annum, to be exact). There are fee remissions for hostel and other such facilities, but they are not available for all.

Campus Life

4.5

Life in campus is good, with less population and people from all over the country. Lots of greenery in the campus, lots of places nearby to explore. Not the best infrastructure, considering the fact that the campus is a temporary one, but it's pretty manageable. There are various clubs available in IITDh, which is open to all. Many interesting events are held by the clubs and quite a number of students enthusiastically participate and have fun. The issues are that, the population is less, so the club's aren't that big in size, but the communication and co-ordination among them is great

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad

Exam Structure

JEE Advanced 2020- AIR 7849, Score-128/396

Admission

There wasn't any Interview or any written test specifically for admission. All you need to do is qualify and clear the cutoff in the JEE Advanced exam

Course Curriculum Overview:

1st i opted for b.pharm but once i got to know about pharm.d it shifted my focus, well Pharm.D is much bigger and deeper course as compared to b.pharm and m.pharm, there is an subject (pharmacotherapy) which is exclusive only for pharm.D , the course will bring in depth knowledge about drugs, manufacturing, storing, pharmacokinetics and dynamics, one thing i'd like to change is the practical knowledge, i would like to add more in depth practical knowledge, more exposure to the students in every aspects needed. The course is too big but with proper guidance and knowledge it feels easy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage
