Remarks

Despite having a legacy spanning a lot of years and being one of the oldest institutions in the country, the management department of IIT Roorkee was established fairly recently. CAT score and personal interview performance are the two most important parameters for admission. Work experience is also accounted for.

Course Curriculum Overview

Semester system of examination is followed in our college with common pedagogies used being case studies, group discussions role play, quizzes, etc. The exams are bit on the difficult side but not that hard to pass if you study properly.

Class Size: 95Course Fees: INR 819000 per year

Placement Experience

In our batch 35 students were freshers. So don't worry if you have no experience. The average/mean annual salary was INR 10.12 lakhs and the Highest CTC was 18.68 Lakhs per annum.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I spent about 8,19,000 towards the expense of the course. However it should be noted that hostel and mess fees are not accounted in this and will cost you extra money. You can avail scholarships from the National Scholarship Portal.

Campus Life

Thomso is our annual festival conducted at the college while Cognizance is the technical festival. An overall atmosphere of celebration, enthusiasm and competitiveness can be seen during these fests. These help to reduce the burden of academics.

Placement Experience:

For masters student student from 3rd semester are eligible for the campus placement. For bachelor students from 6-7 semester students are eligible for the campus placement. Federal bank, taj hotel, Techmutant software solutions, cradlewise, patanjali, etc. many more companies are there which visit the campus. There is 60-70% criteria for students to get the placement as 60% are the eligibility criteria for many companies and some companies have 70% eligibility criteria for the placement. Our university has 85% placement in dehradun region as compared to other universities. My plans are taking a good job and work hard to become independent.

Insights of the college through student eye

Placement Experience:

At the end of end semesters college started to get internship and their are a number of them of every type. Students should choose it of any kind. For placement companies started to come in collage in 3rd semesters and one should apply for placement. Till now many companies were there including 99acers, Arvind fasion, Wipro, Google and so on.

Admission:

When you are selected through your CAT you need to pass through the GD and PI round. The topic of GD is related to current affairs and we were given 20 minutes. The PI round was for about 15 minutes and general questions were asked about my academics, my experience etc. I gave some mock interviews which helped me a lot for these rounds.

The placements start in the second year. Students are expected to have a descent academic record to get placement. Companies that recruit from Uttaranchal University include Wipro, Deloitte and Infosys. Almost 95% students got placed during the campus placements. DOMS Roorkee experience of MBA

I applied for this position through the IIT Roorkee website and paid an Rs.1600 application fee. Admission was made solely on the basis of merit and personality. Actually I did my graduation from NIT Delhi and also wanted to maintain my MBA standard upto that for which IIT Roorkee was a great option. Management department of this institute is known for its high placements and also has AICTE approval.
