Remarks
I applied for I.T. Gopeshwar and NPSEI Pithoragarh but I chose NPSEI Which is established in 2011 because it's older than I.T. gopeshwar. I was selected in S.T. QUOTA and NPSEI has two S.T. seats in every branch. I was selected in 43 jee marks but now you can take admissions on the basis of 12th percentage. The admission process was easy and the staff was well managed.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose it because I was interested in engineering. The faculty-student ratio is 1:20, for twenty students there is one faculty and a total of 30+ faculty available in college. Qualification of faculties was mostly M.tech and PhD. Their teaching method is average. The exams are easy to pass but hard to get very good marks.
Fees and Financial Aid
It is a government-operated institute so there is a fixed fee structure which is 27800/semester. The cost to study is very less because Pithoragarh has not had that many options to spend money. There is a scholarship for Quota based students and for TWF (tuition fee waiver) seats for which you need good jee marks. There is no financial assistance but banks help for education loan. I got no job on campus. My branchmates got selected for a company in placement but that company never called them so nobody placed. There is no job on campus.
Campus Life
Tech fest happens once in two years. Books only syllabus-wise available. Classrooms are semi-smart not all are smart classrooms. Sports meet happens once in two years. There was only one ATV group. There are no clubs for students. The college has its own website.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are actually rented Hotels so the hostel rate vary. Hostel meal is average. Registration for hostel starts with the semester. There is a lot of Pg and room which students prefer over the hostel. The hostel is 3-4 km away from the college.
