The college is affiliated to Delhi University, so, your class XII board exams matter the most. Admission is on cut-off basis. I scored 91.5% in my boards. I opted for this college because it's close to my house and I have heard a lot (of good things) about it's commerce faculty.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is pretty much same everywhere, the college follows CBCS 3 year programme. 6 semesters, 4 subjects each semester, 1 language (Indian) for the first 4 semesters is compulsory. 2 core subjects, are compulsory every semester and a skill based subject is also taken up.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are mostly for Economics students, they may fetch some for the commerce department too but it all depends on how good the placement cell is. Year in year out its a different story, but, frankly, the college never fetched me one.
Placement Experience
Placements are weak point at ZHDC. There are startups coming up to hire, sometimes even the public sector shows up, they pay well, but it's your 9 to 5 job you wouldn't love to do. Recently, PNB and ExPrep are the two companies who came in, I am not sure who got placed but they do not have much openings and only the cream, who have the thing to kill it in an interview get their placements.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Very feasible. I pay 9000 an year for B.com Prog, its almost the same for honours, and I don't think there is any course that charges you more than 18 k an year.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are scholarships students apply for, but I have no idea about them, its a central university, the fee is already very much affordable so if you need a scholarship visit the website to find out, there are scholarships available I can assure you that.
Alumni/Alumna
No idea about the alumni network, seniors are great, they will lend you all the attendance hacks and everything you need to survive the strictness at ZHDC.
Faculty
This is the best part for a commerce student at ZHDC. You will get the finest lecturers in DU to teach you your core subjects. Very few of your teachers are going to make you regret your decision to study here but a greater number will make you love commerce.
