Remarks

My reasons for choosing this college over others was the location where this college is located in center of North delhi. Other than that Ramjas College is among top 10 college in Delhi University. This college offers more liberty when it comes to exploring more and no hard fast rules in Ramjas College when it comes to attendence and attending every lecture. So , rules are more liberal in this college. Bad points which i want to mention are Placements that good as mostly students get offers from mass recruiter and hardly any product based companies visits campus. Admission process in this college is based on 12th grade and on the basis of 12th CBSE percentage , students gets shortlisted and counselling rounds , cut off based shortlisting starts from July. Reason of preferring this college over others is location where its located and reputation of the college. Carrers360 is one of website i referred before selecting this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose this course over any other course as i was more interested in learning mathematics and wanted to be a lecturer in an esteemed college after doing bachelor and masters degree in mathematics. In school also i was more interested in mathematics and could spend hours solving problems.Student ratio in this college is quite decent 6:1 that is if there are 6 boys in class then there is one girl. Ramjas College has an amazing faculty. The faculty is well educated and trained at leading universities. Most of teachers are PhD. holders and professionals in their fields. Dr. P.C Tulsian, a visiting faculty at ICAI and author of 50+ books is a part of commerce faculty of the college. Term exams happens twice in year and If you do well in your assignments , ongoing classes then it won't be hard to pass term exams.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

No, I didn't opted for any internship as my plan was to persue higher studies in the same field. Companies including EY , Deloitte, KPMG offered internships with stipend around 13k -18k. Roles included Sales Executive, Content Writing Executive Role and managing Ecommerce websites of the companies and maintaining records. Task were based to get more information and content driven tasks.

Placement Experience

3

Ramjas College has been successful in providing a number of opportunities to the students of the college. Around 65 recruiters visited the campus in the year 2019-2020. Companies like EY , KPMG , Deloitte , TATA , Grant Thornton etc. visited the campus. The highest package for the year was 19.50 lpa and the average package was 5.21 lpa . Around 65% got offers from the companies. My plan after getting the degree was to persue masters in Mathematics from a reputated University.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure during time was around 12,000 per semester for B.Sc in Mathematics and fees hike like any other college from 6-8% every year. Tution fees in most Delhi University are quite nominal and if you score target for higher percentage in CBSE there is high chance for you to land up in top notch Delhi University. Ramjas college offer certain scholarship programs and some provisions for students. The provisions include Dr. V.K.R.V Rao Endowment Book Grant , Ganga Sant Book Grant , Shri Khushi Ram Book Grant etc. I wanted to persue master M.Sc in Mathematics that is why I did n't applied for college placements.

Campus Life

4

Ramjas College has a spacious campus. The college has two buildings, viz old and new. The campus consists of a library, various laboratories, lawns, an auditorium, a seminar room, conference room, an ECA room and a sports complex, canteen. The college also comprises both girls and boys hostel. In month of February, Mosaic is the annual cultural fest of Ramjas College. It is organized by the Student's Union of the college. It consists of various inter- college competitions, events and a star night. Sonu Nigam, Honey Singh, Bohemia are some of the past star performers. NCC, NSS, Focus, the photography and video making society, Melange, Fine arts society, Backbeat are some of the ECA societies of the college.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I stayed in PG for three year degree and PG was located in Kamla Market. Kamla Market is one famous place known for Girls PG and you can easily get a PG there. I stayed there with a senior from Ramjas College. All the facilities like stationary , food market , cloth market was at the walking distance. PG rent and mess charges in PG itself cost me around 90000 per year. But you will get privacy and AC room with some additional facilities of regular water supply and attached bathroom.

Admission

No, I neither gave Group Discussion nor Interview for the admission. Ramjas College shortlist candidates on the basis of 12th Boards percentage and after applying online through their portal. If a student clears minimum cut-off and being a part of counselling process based on their percentage mainly in Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics and after that in counselling process particular candidate secures a seat. I did prepare for 12th Boards and Maths being my favourite subject i managed to score 95 marks in this subject. I attented all school lectures and coaching classes , prepared proper notes of every subject to score good grades in 12th Boards.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS curriculum is mostly standard, but its relevance is super high because of the massive patient load at SJH. That clinical exposure is the key thing that prepares you for both real life and NEET PG later—that’s why I chose VMMC. Improvements? We need less lecturing and more interactive case discussions and maybe more emphasis on research. Exams are non-stop, seriously! We have internals/semester exams every 3-4 months. They are tough (50% passing), but they force you to study well for the final big Proffs. It’s tiring, but it works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When I was studying, students were doubling down to study Software engineering, no matter which stream they belong too. But now, Electronics and Communication has become an important area to study as it holds promosing carreer options in the age of AI where we need Chips and hardware design, server management. People in mechanical engineering can excel if they focus on building something rather than just studying. In order to prepare for real world applications, one has to do a lot of things rather than sticking to only one persuit. I don't have much to suggest something in course carriculam and this college has best teaching methods regardless what they are taught. Students have ample time to do things they like in every semister. Studying for nearly 2 weeks before sessional exams and 1 month before final exams is enough and rest of the time can be dedicated into building something important.
