Remarks

I choose this college since it is the best which i was getting out of my rank. Also it comes in 6th position among all NITs and 42nd all over india. The good thing about this college is that being an old college(estd. 1963) it has its own reputation and also its rank is constantly getting enhanced.Thbad aspect of this college is its infrastructure since it is an old college so it lacks good infrastructure as compared to other new NITs.But our current director is on a mission to revamp the infrastructure of our college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose electrical engineering since this is an evergreen branch.Talking about the faculty we have highly qualified professors.Talking about some of them we have G.L. Pahuja sir who has specialization in control systems. We have Shelly Vadhera mam for Computer methods in power system. For transmission and distribution we have our beloved Pradeep Kumar sir and various brilliant faculties. Talking about the student ratio , it is around 3:1 for male: female The term exams have a fixed schedule and happens very timely. But they are not very difficult to pass. Its just that there are two U.Ts in a single day that makes it hard. The end semester exams are chill and not too much of a headache.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

I didnt got any internship on campus. I did it from external source. But i got placement offer in ericsson for 5.75 lpa for the role of G.E.T in software services delivery. The companies which came on our campus are generally of two types - one is for the hardcore software profile in which all the topcoders of the college get placed and the other is the analyst profile in which rest all folks got placement offers.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements in our college are decent but not that great. Various big companies came on campus like amazon , flipkart, goldman sachs etc. Basically the CS,IT guys are more benefitted as compared to the core branches. The placements of the core branches are not that great. The average package offered to cs/it guys are around 11 lpa but for the core branches it is 5-6 lpa . The highest ctc can go upto 42 lpa .

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of all NITs are nearly the same. It is also available on their respective websites. There are two types of scholarships in our college- one is internal and another is external. Only one of them can be availed at a time.Scholarships came for those students who excel in their academics. There are fee waivers as well according to the family incomes.

Campus Life

4.5

There are several cultural and technical fests in our college. The main fest is confluence which is believed to be the second largest college fest in northern india. Technical fests include Techspardha etc. Amenities in the classroom are good now. ACs have been installed in the classrooms. Also some classrooms include a projector and a whiteboard and also a samsung screen to write and teach which is cool.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facility is decent enough. We have two common mess, one for each block in our hostel. The mess charges are over and above the hostel fees. We have to pay our mess bill each month depending on our diet. It comes usually around 4000 each month.Registration of the hostels are done at the time of admission itself.

Admission

For admission into NITs, we need to secure a descent rank in the Jee Mains examination which is held every year around the month of april. After the examination is over and the results are declared we are called for counselling to secure our seats in various streams according to our choices and merit. No preparation is required for counselling , it is just to secure a seat.Only thing is you beed to be attentive of what is going around.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are offered with many companies visiting (700-800+). Highest packages can go high (Rs 30-56 LPA), but averages and typical offers vary (~ Rs 6-7 LPA), and placements rates differ by batch. Some students also pursue internships or off-campus jobs if campus offers are limited.

Placement Experience:

Four campus placements student get eligible after the 6th semester and from 6th semester companies come and they search for their Perfect suit And they just simply Conduct their interviews in the College campus Various companies visited our college like HCL,TCS and many more Offering a basic scale payoff around 6,00,000 Per year. Average package for our college is around three to six lakhs and the highest package a student got is around 54 lakhs Per year. For sitting in placement at least 6 cgpa is required to Get eligible for Placements But most of the companies ask for 7CGPA and above and only few companies are there which demand 6 cgpa students. My planes after getting this degree is Doing a job and then Lumping amount So that I can open up my business in the form of cafe or something else. But somewhere I will like to become nlp engineer As I have interest in sound processing system and AI and being from IT background I have good coding skills and communication skills. Till the age of 40 I Start my own business or a startup. At last but not least Our college has a good placement Drive system And a good academic system too and one can easily prepare for placements if he studies well.

Placement Experience:

From 2nd year onwards we can prepare for it as we are equipped with hands on experience on multiple projects and practical knowledge. Till now the highest package has reached 45 lakhs per annum. I don't think that percentage matters as practical knowledge is more superior that theory part. I am planning to go for MNCs.

Placements are not good in my college. Only few companies are recruiting through on campus like virtusa, tcs etc. average package is 3-4 lakhs and maximum package is 9 lakhs. From 4th year students are eligible for on campus placement. Only 30-40% of students get placed. I am thinking to give gate exam for better opportunity.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.

Don't join the college as they doesn't care about your career Faculty is bad and also doesn't have minimum experience and qualifications Teachers will change every semester or even teachers can leave the job in mid semester. If want a good career then don't go for it
