UILS Review

Earlier the counseling was held offline but sure to COVID-19???????? our counselling held online on meeting platform Cisco Webex. There were about three hundred students who were attending the counselling session. Our mentor at that was Ms.Pushpinder mam and she was very supportive such that its seems like friendly session.

Because of my interest in law field along with accounts I enroll myself for this course. Mainly this course provide to both law and commerce at once. Manily there are 3 sections for bcomllb and 3 for ballb and every section contains near about 60 student. Regarding the faculty member, every teacher is great in it's own way. Some teach with fun and easy manner where has some teach strictness when it's an important topic. Even examination pattern set by faculty member is good that one can easily measure his/her performance.

CDC cell has provided many internship opportunities from 1st year of study with respected law firms along with internship opportunities at various government institutions which includes NITI Aayog, AIHRA, NWC etc. In my 2nd year I haven't joined any internship. I don't think there is any internship opportunities with our department as campus students can join societies that came under its authority.

The career development cell of UILS deals with placement offers and internships. The aim of the career development cell of the university has always been to provide a conducive environment for the all-round professional growth of students by providing them with the best internship opportunities, skill development sessions and placement opportunities with consultancy firms, renowned law firms and litigation chambers based in Delhi and Chandigarh. In the year 2020, CDC was successful in securing internships at tier-2 law firms and assistantships under the professors from prestigious institutions like Oxford, Cambridge, City University of Hong Kong and Jindal Global University. But many people believe that the placement cell is not very active here. Most of the students in UILS prefers for litigation and for civil services, rather than opting for different firms. The college is very clear on its agendas and does not fool the students but still some students doubt it. Don't know why?

Near about 1 lakh per year is charged by university which also includes directors fund. Regarding,Hostel fees I have no idea as due to covid 19 hostel allotment is not clear to us. Campus provide great members from various societies that helps us to explore new opportunities wheter it's regarding moot courts or internship programs.

Since I has joined the campus during covid 19 I didn't get much chance to visit there due to which i don't know about the annual fest or tech fest. Regarding books and journals, they are easily available for campus library and from bookstore located inside it. Many activities are conducted by students of various societies wheter it is Nss or Quiz society or any other society time to time to keep Students excited.
