Eligibility Criteria

Students looking forward to applying in Bachelor of Commerce + Bachelor of Laws [BCom L.L.B.] {Hons.} should meet the following criteria

Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST) from any recognized Board/University (However, the candidates qualifying 10+2 through Open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission in the law courses.

Note

The admission shall be on the basis of both the academic merit and entrance test.
The candidate must not be above 20 years of age as on the last date fixed for submission of an application for Entrance Test of B.A. / B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) 5 Years Integrated Course of the year in which admission is sought in the First Semester (22 years in case of SC/ST and other backward communities')

There is a fee hike every year and it should be reduced

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee structure is divided into two semesters for the first semester it is about 80000 and for the next it is close to 50000. It is increasing every year. For SC, ST and Ews sections , the fees for first semester is about 40000 and the nest semester is close to 20000.

The infrastructure is not at par with the fees they charge.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The 1st sem fee for General category students taking admission 2023- ?65525 as University fees, ?9300 as Deptt. Funds. While for SC category students of Punjab with income less than 2,50,000, fees was ?16381 as University fees, ?2325 as Deptt. Funds. Fees for Persons with disabilities and single parent was ?28495 as University fees and same Deptt. Funds. The University fees for Ward of Panjab University employee was ?47010 while having same Deptt. Funds. University Fees for EWS category students was ?20538, while having same Deptt. Funds. ?250 as Library security is charged from all. For end sem exams, students have to fill examination form and pay examination fees of ?1840 for General category and ?1100 for EWS everytime. ?1000 extra was charged in University fees in all categories for students of Education boards other than CBSE,ICSE, PSEB, HSEB, Himachal board. ?37030 was to be paid as University fees in 2nd sem. Students are assisted to avail any other scholarship from outside.

Life of a law student at Panjab University

Fees and Financial Aid:

So the fees is to be paid every semester. In the odd semesters, the fees is a bir higher than the even semesters. A general pay around 70000 in odd semester which includes both the tuition fees and the department development fees. And it is around 40000 in even semesters. Fees is increased after every 2 semesters by 3000-4000. Meanwhile fees for other categories of students like SC, ST and OBC is very less as compared to general category students

In uils, there are many scholarships and fees concession plans. One can avail them if he she belongs to sc or st or to economic weaker section. I belong to EWS thus availing this scholarship. They also have scholarship on merit basis.
