University! With More Facts To Be Discovered!!!

The admission here to the University Of Calcutta, B.Tech [4Year Degree] in the Department of Computer Science is completely based on your merit in WBJEE! There was also a counselling session conducted post 1 week after the declaration of your results! There were three rounds held by the West Bengal Council Of Higher Secondary Education [WBCHSE] via West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board [WBJEEB]! The first round cut-off was AIR 722! The second round cut-off was AIR 722 again as well! The third round cut-off was AIR 790! Well, from the first round to the third round, the cut-off didn't increase quite high but, left only by a small difference, and it all depends on the choices of the candidates filled up and locked at the Counselling Registration Duration! After this whole long Centralised Counselling Session too, the seats didn't fill up, then University had held up to conduct Decentralised counselling! It was held for two rounds! So, this was whole about my admission journey to the University.

Nice course here, everything is good! 1:2 is the faculty: student ratio! Highly qualified faculties available here! The examination are very hard, 9 SGPA is very hard to obtain! I've left many top IIT's/NIT's core branches, cause got a chance here and left Jadavpur University, Mechanical Engineering branch as well!

Internships are available after you complete your 2nd semester, the internships offered here are outstanding, one of my friends Prateek Ganguli has cracked Google Summer Of Code 2021, this year! So, imagine how perfect our University is and aware of all the happenings outside our environment!

Placements here, you'll get only the basis of your merit! Many students who'll review about this college that placements here are not good, but to be honest it is not like that! Work hard, you'll surely land up in top MNC's giants!

We, don't see any fees, hikes here! As the curriculum amount here is the second lowest in the country after Jadavpur University, unlike in IIT's/ NIT's you spend 8-10 Lakhs in the whole B.Tech. So, the curriculum amount is a big relief to students!

Good Campus, here at Saltlake, JD-2 Block, Sector-III, WB-98! Air-conditioned classrooms, we do have football, cricket etc tournaments held every year! There is Codeclub and other clubs here as well, like whatever you've interested in, you'll are good to go ahead!

The hostel here is neat and clean! Very hygienic! Good/Strong 5GHz Wi-fi available 24 hours! Bengali food is obviously the best food in the world, so no comments on Bengali food! The hostel is available if your home is away for more than 60 km!
