Remarks

I applied for only the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies because they have the best faculties. The selection process was based on the 12th percentage and I was selected in round 1 of 3. Though the limit was 25 students per class many people are not aware of this wonderful course.

Course Curriculum Overview

The quality of the questions was amazing. And it was quite difficult for us to gain good marks but as the teachers were very helpful we passed with flying colours. The paper checking system was strict because of the syllabus.

Internships Opportunities

In the university of petroleum and energy studies, everyone must do at least one internship every year which they provide us with. In the first year after the 2nd semester, we have to do a Social internship with highly reputed NGOs all around India. In the second year after the 4th semester, we have to do a government/startup internship and in the third year, we get internships in our specific field of study.

Placement Experience

The college offers Amazing placement opportunities. We have many courses so various types of companies come in for interviews and jobs like Haldiram, Wipro, Google Nestle etc. The placement record of some of the UPES branches is 100%.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of my course is 1.5 lakh per semester i.e. approximately 3 lakh per year. UPES offer various scholarships like for the covid frontline worker's families, girls scholarship, Uttrakhand domicile scholarship and merit scholarship.

Campus Life

In UPES there are various clubs for sports and other curriculum like performing arts, art and design club, NSS etc and they conduct various programs and events such as 'hackit' , P-urja the annual college fest. The library is a gem for all book lovers and since in this pandemic time we are not on campus they have arranged e- library system which helps us a lot.

GEU and CSE ho hand in hand!

Placement Experience:

LTI, Polaris, Deloitte, Infosys, Oracle, Nvidia and what not are there for placements here. Even the Fintech and finance companies like the Axis Bank, Shri Ram Capital Finance and all are here. Thus, placements worth 10-50 lakhs is quite possible at GEU.

Geu provides best intenrships!

Placement Experience:

In GEU placements are like such that we don't have to bother at all. We are approached by placements cell in the 5th semester and then are trained for the whole month and then university urges us to go for internships to have the required exposure and have a CV which can impress the recruiters first hand. Thus, we get placement which median as of now is 8.5 lakhs.

GEU has the best Placements!

Placement Experience:

McKinsey, Oracle, NVIDIA, Google, TCS, Deloitte and many more come here for placements. Around 15-20 students in 2025 had placements worth over 40 lakhs and four students managed to grab placements worth 50 lakhs or more.

The placements of the students in the college is satisfactory. This year the students of third year grabbed a placement of 18 LPA . Wipro and TCS visits the campus frequently. The highest package is of 43 LPA and the average stands at 6-7 LPA.. the percentage of the placements is nearly 90-95%..

A big no for placements and a big yes for campus life

Entrance test for the programme is conduted based on the criteria that is above 60% admissions are provided. The professors of the university also conducts interviews before admissions in zoom. After all the process once the student clears the exam and interview admission is provided. I was enrolled in the university in the year 2018 as would say that I definetely wasted my 3 precious years and money offcourse. There were no placements also, just for small matters they send you from one person to other and for some university matters you will have to go other campus just for some signatures....Read More
