Remarks
I got admission through Comed-K. The admission process was quite smooth, just had to take the required documents along with the dd. Had an option of applying for the same at RNSIT AND SJBIT but chose JSSATE because of good reviews from seniors. Comed-K ranking cut off was 20k I guess and I had got a rank of around 15k
Course Curriculum Overview
Physics was my favorite subject in classes 11 and 12 so I chose mechanical engineering. Most of the faculty in the mechanical engineering department is quite friendly and approachable. Of course, there will be exceptions everywhere but most of the faculty is good both in terms of technical expertise as well as being helpful to students. And most of the faculty are Ph.D. holders.
Placement Experience
Core placements for mechanical engineering are almost nonexistent but it's pretty much the same condition in any college. However, there are ample opportunities to get campus placement in an IT company or some other non-core profiles. I got placed at Accenture in my final year. Placements for cs are extremely good. The highest package offered was around 48lpa by Adobe.
Fees and Financial Aid
I got through Comed-K and the annual fees during my time were 2 lakh. However, I don't know what's the cost now as I've already graduated. I didn't take any scholarships or whatever. There's no financial assistance that I know of.
Campus Life
JSS Verve is one of the best engineering college fests in Bangalore which is celebrated extravagantly with an amazing concert at the end of every year. Each department has its own technical fests throughout the year so college life is pretty active. Coming to the library, it is pretty well stocked and the infrastructure is good. Classrooms have amenities like a projector, board. There are a lot of student clubs like the rally car design team, EV car design teams, and so on.
