Remarks

Scored very little in my entrance exam due to which I have to opt for a management quota. I also applied for some top colleges In Mumbai but wasn't able to get into CS or IT branches. Rest all branches were vacant in nearly every college. The minimum scored required for DMCE was around 85+ percentile in MS-CET. It is a decent college with good placements but a poor college campus and college life.

Course Curriculum Overview

Almost all faculty for my department is good, Different Semesters have different teachers Here is a rough breakdown for you all( 5 subjects -> 5 Teachers out of the 3 are excellent ) their qualification, for higher sems mostly Ph.D., reset all perceiving/M.E.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 97990 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are good at least from what I have heard from my seniors. some good companies like TCS and Capgemini do come for placement. Around 70+ % of students get placed from Comp and IT branches. I have no idea about other branch placements but it would be less from Comp and IT Department.

Fees and Financial Aid

For 1st year fee is 1.1L and for the rest of 3 years, it is 97000 for OPEN, For OBC around 70000 and 20-30 for SC/NT and all. No internship has been provided yet from the college end. Once enrolled less chance for fees hike as the fee structure remains the same.

Campus Life

Due to the pandemic, we had nearly no college life. But then too we tried to arrange our tech fest online there are various clubs that you can join like CSI E-cell and all. There is no Campus only a 13-floor building so don't expect much from your collect life.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Datta meghe is moderate tier 3 college, i choose this college because it is near my home and my cousin also studied from this college it is good . I am trying for VIT Mumbai which my aim to get but cut off of this college is high. I got this college through Mhtcet exam, and yes I opted for other college too but the cutoff for branch i wanted was too high in other college so i had to take admission in DMCE. talking about the admission process you can take admission through 2 ways: Official goverment rounds or management rounds. Majority of students take admission from cap round which accepts both Mhtcet and JEE examination. 90% of students get admission by Mhtcet exam. i have applied for many ot the colleges like somaiya, vjti, dy patil but my percectile was no that good for those colleges thats why i choose datta meghe college and my travelling time also becomes less my admission process was they basically look for your cet and java percentile the candidatemust have passed class 12 with subjects like phy chem and maths for direct second yr admission candidate should have a diploma in enginnering or technology with a minimum of 45% admission process is step 1: apply for mht cet or jee main.step2: appear for the exam.step3:after the exam results ,participate in the centralized admission by the Directorate of technical education maharashtra. step4: for mht cet ,based on the rank and preferences the DTE college will allot seats in various eng collegs including datta meghe college step 5: after seat allotmnet candidates need to verify documents and pay the admission fees to cinfirm the seat...Read More
