IIM Ranchi - A dream-house of opportunities

Admission to the MBA Programme of IIM Ranchi was based on performance in CAT 2020. The CAT cut-off percentile of the General Category for consideration for admission to IIM Ranchi was: Quantitative Aptitude - 80 percentile, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning - 80 percentile, Verbal & Reading comprehension - 80 percentile, and an overall percentile of 94. For the shortlisted candidates, the Personal Interview (PI) round was conducted virtually. After the completion of the PI process, admission offers were made based on the following components: CAT Score - 40%, PI Score - 30%, Profile - 30%. The profile scoring methodology for IIM Ranchi was: Academic Profile - 13, Work Experience - 7, Academic Diversity - 5, Gender Diversity - 5. Offer letters for admission were sent out on mails, and students had to confirm their admission by paying an Offer Acceptance Fees of Rs. 1,00,000.

The curriculum of IIM Ranchi aims to bridge the gap between what is taught in class and what is actually needed. The curriculum enables us to face the challenges of the real world. IIM Ranchi students are guided by the most competent and capable faculties. The case study approach is being followed in class. Term exams are timely conducted, and if someone listens to the professor in class properly, it's not difficult to score well in exams.

For the MBA batch of 2020-22, 135 companies participated in the summer internship process. The highest stipend stood at Rs. 3,36,600 whereas the average and the median stipend stood at Rs. 97,502 and Rs. 73,000 respectively. Prominent recruiters include Asian Paints, Godrej, ICICI Lombard, JP Morgan & Chase, Capgemini. Roles offered include, Product marketing, Risk Analysis, Operations Analytics, Strategy, and Consulting.

IIM Ranchi achieved 100% placements. For the MBA batch of 2019-21, 128 recruiters visited the campus and 201 offers were made. The highest CTC offered was 26.50 LPA, the average and median CTC stood at 14.69 and 14.95 respectively. Some of the prominent associations include Deloitte, KPMG, TATA Steel, Mahindra & Mahindra, Capgemini, Infosys. Some of the profiles that were offered include Product Management, Business Analyst, Supply Chain Management, Business Strategist.

The total cost for the MBA Programme is Rs. 16,30,000. In addition to that, there is a mess expense of Rs. 21,000 per term. The various Departments and Ministries of the Government of India offers many scholarship schemes for the benefit of students. At IIM Ranchi, there are 7 Committees, 9 Clubs, 8 Student Interests Groups, and 7 Independent Bodies. This ensures a student can take part in extracurricular activities on campus. Rush is the Inter B-school Cultural and Sports Fest of IIM Ranchi and AGON is the annual management festival of IIM Ranchi. The library supports the academic community by providing up-to-date resources on management and related areas through its hybrid collection which includes 3356 books, 36 e-resources (databases), 17,000+ e-journals, 43,00,000 + e-books.
