KIIT- Best in Private Institute

Overall, KIIT is good. There are many clubs for different purposes. The only problem is the intake of students. They keep on increasing every year, so it may be a setback. Otherwise, it's a very good college. Also, security is a top concern here and no ragging occurs.

To enter KIIT, we have to take a KIIT-EE exam. It's held every year and the form is free. They don't tell you your marks, but my rank in KIITEE was 3127 and in this rank I was able to get Computer Science as a field for B. tech. I choose this college as it had good reputation for it's computer Science field and holds the record for 100% placement.

The course curriculum was good as we had variety of subject to study from. To name some of the course, there is Artificial Intelligence, Big data, Server Side Computing( Advanced Java), Mobile Computing, Real Time System and many more. We also had the basics of everything like C, JAVA, DBMS, Computer Network, Operating System.

Yes our college provide Internship to students. There is no general stipend as such as it all depends from companies to companies. Even Amazon comes in our college for internship to 3rd year. Although if we average it all, the stipend would be around 18-20, 000.

There are many events happening in our college. Some of them are: Ranji tournament, Blind cricket match, East Zone competition KIITMUN, UDGHOH(national level quiz competition), KIITFEST(last year sunidhi chahuan came), HOSTEL TOURNAMENTS and many more.

I would say that the fee is a little over-priced and if you are from middle class family, you'll end up taking a loan. the total fees for one semester is 1, 17, 500 /-. SO think according to the fees before you enter the college. Only The entrance exam is free in KIIT.

Nope, No loan facility is offered by our college. Although scholarship can be achieved if we ask about it from the office but I don't think that there is hardly any chance of getting a scholarship in Private college.

Gender ratio is almost 60:40 in CS branch. if we talk overall of all branches then it would be around 65:35. with 65 being male. There re no. of extracurricular activities present here and there is a club for almost every activity whether it be singing, dancing, extempore etc. The best part is NO RAGGING occurs in the campus and there are no. of different nationalities in KIIT. SO it's a friendly environment. Security is a top concern in KIIT.

We have a 24-hour Wi-Fi facility. The quality of food in the canteen is good but in the hostel, the quality drops down. Here, 3 people live in a room and the spacing is quite good too. There is a common bathroom for 6-7 rooms each. We have to pay around 17000 per semester for hostel and mess fees is compulsory if you are staying in hostel.

The alumni network is not string here to be frank. Although sometimes there will be support of alumni in our college during fest but overall the experience is not good.

There are mid sem exam and end sem exam in every Semester. There are total of 8th semester in a course and we are evaluated on the basis of these exam and there are internal marking also like attendance, submissions etc. Although you can easily score 8 CGPA with just a little hard work.

Some of the faculties were too good and Some of the faculties were okay. There were faculties from IIT, NIT and were highly Knowledgeable. There are many PhD teachers here who have very high knowledge related to their subjects. The teachers teach students using projectors as well as a whiteboard.
