Remarks
Well, in the starting I was totally confused about where I have to take admission. Then when I was surfing the internet I saw an ad from Chandigarh University and I just searched about it. The next day I got a phone call from CU and as I was also interested in this University so after getting enough information about this university from google CU staff I decided to take admission here and the staff helped me a lot while taking admission. Well it's quite obvious that they want more and more admission that's why they were so polite but I think I also don't had any other choice as I was not going to drop the year. After all this now I am a student of CU pursuing a BTech in CSE.
Course Curriculum Overview
It's quite obvious that it's a private university so they have to be polite but one thing I noticed is that they are polite and sweet only for first year students and the students who are going to take admission here. After one year they show their real colours which are also a quite obvious thing as it is a private university. Talking about the qualification of teachers, they are basically students who CU itself and almost 70% teachers are young here which means after qualifying from CU they started teaching but the worst part is some of them are really not good in teaching. Exams are not that much tough if a student tries well then he or she can qualify it with ease.
Internships Opportunities
As I mentioned I am a student of 2nd year and haven't joined any internship yet but my seniors say that it's almost good and the university provides many internships opportunities. Whenever I will get a chance for an internship I will describe it more briefly.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements right after the 4th sem that is in the 3rd year. Big Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Flipkart also comes for placements here. The highest package is 36 lakhs per annum which is really good and the average package is 3,4 lakhs per annum. Almost 80 to 90% of students get placed here the difference is only in packages. I also want to sit in placements offers and want a decent package.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are really high here. Even in this pandemic, they didn't provide any relaxation in fees. They charged the same amount of fees even more than that. They often provide scholarships but they are only for 1st year that is if a student scores less than 7.5cgpa the scholarship will get cancelled.
Campus Life
The campus is really amazing and big. But due to covid I really didn't get any chance to explore it fully. Classes are going in online mode thus we are just at our homes and not able to explore the campus.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms provided are almost nice. There is really a good amount of variety in food. The registration process is really easy. We just have to go to the official site of CU and have to log in with our credentials and then just opt. For the hostel and then there will be an option to pay the fees of it. Well but the hostels are really overpriced they charge a lot of money for the hostel.
