Entrance Preview

CLAT, I chose BBA. ll.b because It allowed me to study subjects like Organisational behaviour which is a branch of psychology. The other option I had was Ba.ll.b but the subjects in that course did not interest me much. The college also offered Bsc.llb till 2014 but it has now been scrapped.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is extremely rigorous. We have 6 continuous assessments every month. For all the law subjects, we have to submit project+viva whereas for the stream subjects we have assignments. We also have midterms for all the law subjects after 2 moths and end terms for all the subjects at the end of the semester. Each semester is for 4 months.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, an internship and placement cell looks after all this where students forward their names to them and their preferred advocates and they are accordingly allotted. The stipends depend on the the advocator place where internship is done. Average stipend is 2500 rupees.

College Events

5

Nh 65 is our annual cultural fest where colleges from all over the country come over. This year around 700 students came. The sports fest is called yuvardha where all the NLU's are invited and all other colleges are open to participate. Besides these, cultural events like dandiya night, kite flying, holi are also held.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is around 75,000 per semester with an annual increase of 5%. For NRI sponsored students, it is 2,50,000. Compared to non Nlu's the fees is expensive and so lower income groups might not sail so smoothly as far as fees is concerned. This in turn attracts the more elitist crowd to college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is provided to children from lower income groups. IDIA provides scholarships to the students. State bank of India also provides an educational loan for the same.there is a branch of SBI on campus.

Campus Life

4.5

The college is very broad minded. Gender ratio is around 65/35. Boys being more. Parties are held once a month where students of all batches are invited. the College does not have any elections or student unions. Cleanliness is well maintained in halls however sometimes the ganga canteen (one of the three canteens) is reprimanded for using stale food and changing prices on a day to day basis.we do not have a mess system.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as from 10th std I wanted to be like my late grandfather who was a lawyer. More then curriculum, interning in courts would be better from your 1st year. More practical moots and research activities+ educational visits would be more improvising. Exams are moderate on level of difficulty, and exams dates come suddenly... Usually within the 1st in sem> 2 months gap> 2nd in sem and within 20 days finals.

Placement Experience:

This is far most one of the negative aspect of this University. I would never recommend anyone on the basis of campus placements here since it is absolutely worthless. Campus placements are not at all good as the number and quality of companies visiting the college as far as Law dept. is considered, it is very disappointing. There are no good placement drives conducted my the college. The package offered is extremely low even of offered rarely. The percentage of students getting placed is also low. I personally was also not able to get placed by the University. My plans are to gain some work experience in the legal sector and peruse higher education in law from abroad.

Remarks:

It's good Most people have to sit down and decide whether college is worth wilde for them. Attending college can have many positive and negative effects. A few negative effects are debt, partying, sexual assault, missing family and friends, and stress. Positive effects are he/she gets a degree, makes new friends, becomes more diverse, most likely gets a good job after graduating, and helps he/she to become more independant and grow as an individual. Starting off with the negative effects of attending college. Tuition has skyrocketed over the years leaving college students thousands of dollars in debt right out of highschool, since many people cannot afford to fully pay their schooling off.

Good place. It's a little hot here, though. But in all honesty, it's one of the best places to study law, in the country. It's a balance of rigorous of academics and an extremely liberal cultural environment.
