Remarks

I have secured admission in Shri Ram College of Commerce(in which the admission procedure is similar to most of the colleges under Delhi University) in 2020. The minimum marks required percentage of marks for admission into DU is 45% in Class 12th .The first step starts with the registration on Delhi University website and after 4-5 weeks every college releases cut off percentage required for admission.Successive cutoffs are also released by college subject to the availability of seats.First cut off released by SRCC for general category for B.Com(hons) is 99% in best of four subjects. I secured admission in 3rd cutoff(96.5%) under OBC category. After approval of certificates by principal, payment link will be generated asking to pay the whole fee for first semester which is 15000. After successful payment of fee the seat will be allocated.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have choosen B.Com(Hons) after looking at the syllabus of the course. It incudes accounting, law, Income tax, Human Resource management, Management Principles and Applications, marketing, etc.. The topics that are taught are depth and faculty helps in increasing the analytical skills of students. The faculty to student ration is 1:14, which enables time for faculty to address each and every student. The cirriculum also includes tutorials in which students in groups of 9-10 members attends the class of the assignedd faculty to them for each subject for any doubts that aren't clarified to them. All the teachers have completed their masters education in either Commerce or arts. The teaching method is online because of Covid-19 but faculty made it as much interactive as possible with presentations, vivas etc... Coming to exams exams are conducted in twice a year i. e., march-april and November-december. The exams can be scored good with thorough revision and practice.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

College's Placement cell offers various internship offers in various roles which vary with the stipend from 4000-20000 . Internships are offered around the year and provide in building a good profile for students.

Placement Experience

4.5

Campus placements session starts when you are in the fifth semester and placement cell helps you at each and every step. In recent placements over 80+ recruiters including google,BCG consulting, deloitte, kpmg, etc. have approached making 270+ offers with the highest package offered being 31lakhs and the average package is 8.4 lakhs. Nearly 30% of the students are placed because most of the students Will look for Pursuing MBA or Any professional course like CA, CFA..

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for B.com(Hons) is 30000 per annum, which I feel is affordable and worth it because of the knowledge we gain from the top most faculty. College also has many scholarships and Financial aids for students who can't afford education. I have achieved Need Based Scholarship which granted me 12000 and college also provides various scholarships for various category of students

Campus Life

4.5

Shri Ram College of Commerce has many societies in different domains in which some are registered and some are not registered with College. Societies organize one or the other event every time including speaker sessions, competitions, Webinars, etc. The two biggest fests of Delhi University are taken place in SRCC namely Crossroads and Business Conclave, whose budget reaches the stars. The college is also equipped with sports facilities and a good library.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

Placement Experience:

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
