Remarks

Although IIT Roorkee is an old institute, its management program began only a couple of years ago but since, it has made a name for itself in the management field as well. Before getting admission to the college I went through a interview round for which I was shortlisted based on my CAT score.

Course Curriculum Overview

The system of examination followed here is the semester system. So there are 4 semesters in the course. Advanced knowledge in specialization courses are offered in the second year and core subjects in the first year. It is a dual specialization course.

Class Size: 77Course Fees: INR 819000 per year

Placement Experience

If you are afraid that you might not get any jobs if you are a fresher, then don't worry in my batch, 35 students were freshers and they got ample amount of job opportunities. The mean CTC was calculated as INR 10.12 LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is 8.19 lakhs which can be deemed as moderate for an MBA Degree. You will be charged extra for hostel and mess facilities. If you need any scholarship, you can avail central and state scholarships from websites like the National Scholarship Portal.

Campus Life

Our technical fest is named " Cognizance" and the natural festival is named "Thomso". The whole campus gets filled with an atmosphere of excitement and celebration during these fests. You can pursue your hobbies and interests by joining various student clubs.

Campus life

Placement Experience:

For masters student student from 3rd semester are eligible for the campus placement. For bachelor students from 6-7 semester students are eligible for the campus placement. Federal bank, taj hotel, Techmutant software solutions, cradlewise, patanjali, etc. many more companies are there which visit the campus. There is 60-70% criteria for students to get the placement as 60% are the eligibility criteria for many companies and some companies have 70% eligibility criteria for the placement. Our university has 85% placement in dehradun region as compared to other universities. My plans are taking a good job and work hard to become independent.

i think from 3 rd semsester students are eligble for campus placements iam from 1 sem thats why i didnt eligble for that higest is like 20 lakhs and lowest is 3 lakhs per anam they show 90 percent but actually only 10 percent of students get placed i am planning to get a job ncr

Insights of the college through student eye

Placement Experience:

At the end of end semesters college started to get internship and their are a number of them of every type. Students should choose it of any kind. For placement companies started to come in collage in 3rd semesters and one should apply for placement. Till now many companies were there including 99acers, Arvind fasion, Wipro, Google and so on.

Admission:

When you are selected through your CAT you need to pass through the GD and PI round. The topic of GD is related to current affairs and we were given 20 minutes. The PI round was for about 15 minutes and general questions were asked about my academics, my experience etc. I gave some mock interviews which helped me a lot for these rounds.

DOMS Roorkee experience of MBA

I applied for this position through the IIT Roorkee website and paid an Rs.1600 application fee. Admission was made solely on the basis of merit and personality. MBA programme of IIT Roorkee

Actually I did my graduation from NIT Delhi and also wanted to maintain my MBA standard upto that for which IIT Roorkee was a great option. Management department of this institute is known for its high placements and also has AICTE approval.
