Remarks

Admission criteria are 55 % in bachelor's, I filled the form and got a mail regarding the interview date, in the interview they asked me basic questions. Like why this course. Were you part of NSS or NYKS (since the college is of youth ministry). Past experiences and studies that's it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

In terms of punctuality, I will say it deserves 1000 out of 100, term exams are on time as well result. It is moderately difficult. There will be 40 marks allotted to internal which includes assignments and analytical tests and the other 60 marks are allotted to term examination.

Internships Opportunities

3

The internship opportunities at many places were a bit limited due to covid but the college has assisted with the summer internship and block fieldwork placement. Organisations and NGOs were the places student were been placed like the association of professional social workers and development practitioners, doers NGO, puthri project, make a change, youth for change, Madras mc, IIT Madras etc. The projects in all the organisations were different some were related to DRR, some were of youth development, some ranged from women empowerment to tribal development etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarships only available for SC/ST category students, general cannot avail the scholarship ( no matter he/she comes in BPL also). There were internships but without stipend. The fee is 4000 for the semester that means 8000 per year. And hostel fees is 17000 per sem which adds to 34000 (including lodging and flooding).

Campus Life

4.5

The international youth day and national youth day are two major festivals as it belongs to the youth affairs ministry so all the programs related to youth are been organised. The central library is well curated one, you will get all the important books, journals and resources there, with good amenities and air conditioning. Classrooms are air conditioned and well furnished it looks like some international standard campus. Sports are an integral part of the campus, even training are been imparted, zonal and national level sports is been organised sports facilities include - table tennis, cricket, volleyball, basketball, football etc. There is a separate gym for boys and girls. There is an incubation centre in the college for funding and startups, there are clubs like drama club, youth club, debate society, cultural society etc.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I did not rent any room or pg as I have opted for the hostel and it is compulsory for the student beyond 40 km of reach they have to opt for the hostel. The college and hostel are on the same campus of Sriperumbudur (Kanchipuram) on Chennai Bangalore Highway number 5.
