Course Curriculum Overview

The M.A Gender Studies course is 2 years long. In this two years, we learnt in great depth the extent of gender disparity, not only in India, but all over the world. It was an eye-opening subject to study, surely!

Placement Experience

The placement cell works really hard in preparing all students for the tough placement season. Since this is a social studies institute, not too many MNCs visit, but there are still some companies that come over to recruit!

Fee Structure And Facilities

No, it is not at all expensive. Rajiv Gandhi National Institute for Youth Development is definitely one of the most renowned social studies centre. For them to charge only Rs 25,520 for the whole two years course is quite unexpected!

Fees and Financial Aid

Our institute strongly believes that no one should be deprived of their chance at quality education. And following this, there is a full scholarship program for SC/ST students at RGNIYD- their 100% tuition fee is waived!

Campus Life

The campus is spread over an enormous 42 acres and gives us enough opportunities to showcase our tremendous sporting abilities! Among indoor games we have chess and table tennis. Among outdoor games, we have cricket and football.

Admission

Ever since I pursued my Bachelors in Sociology I had been wanting to branch out to Gender Studies for my post-graduate degree. And I found the perfect institute in RGNIYD! I applied with my B.A marks and got selected on merit!

The curriculum behind or campus is very much updated and it is changing as the technology changes.As the present world is engaging with computer and artificial intelligence,I want to improve more knowledge and also want to compete with others.The time table and the devlopment technology followed by our university is devoloped so that only placement are recorded with high percentage when compared to other.The improvement should be observed only regarding labs.We have write examination for every 30 or 40 days , because there are 3 internal test ,semester and lab exams.Actually time is not sufficient but we have to do hardwork.when compared to other universities or colleges our exams arebwry hard.

My experience at Rajiv Gandhi National institute of youth development, Sreeperumbathur

Admission is soley based on your CUET PG score. I am a general category student, and I got 244 in psychology in CUET PG 2024 out of 300. The cut off for general category in this institution for this year was around 225. I had applied to Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Pondicherry University and I didn't get into any of these as their cut offs were too high. I did get into Central University of Punjab, Central University of Haryana and Central University of South Bihar. The admission process is entirely online, you only have to verify your documents in person when you come to college. I didn't select Central University of Punjab or Haryana as it was too far from my house. RGNIYD is also a Institute of National Importance so this lead me to choose this college. Once you get your CUET PG score, you have to apply to different colleges with your course, there was no application fees for RGNIYD....Read More
