Remarks

As I'm From a Middle Class Family So, I choose B.tech Computer Science And Engineering for my good placements. Also, Chandigarh University Provides us with A huge number of Placements. Besides this, I'm Very Good at Computer Coding So I took admission to it.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty members in Chandigarh university are very excellent because they provide us with and everything that we want. They are very polite. And Course Subjects Changes From Low Level to high level like in 1st sem you will have C language Then in 2nd sem C++ than in 3rd Sem Java. And Exams also taking on a higher level.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 160000 per year

Internships Opportunities

During the 2nd to 3rd year ahead, you will get internships under big companies like Wipro, Google, Microsoft, Amazon and Flipkart etc. They provide every facility to our students like what a student has its need. They provide different Tasks to do under a certain period of time.

Placement Experience

If you are a good student bright student and maintaining your Attendance, marks and discipline you will automatically get placement by big companies. There are more than 1k companies visiting our campus and selecting students for getting jobs. And highest package Goes up to 42lakhs LPA by Microsoft. Also Wipro, Google, Amazon, Flipkart etc. Big Companies Visiting there.

Fees and Financial Aid

So let me clear one thing guys, I know Academic Year fees at Chandigarh University is very high that is 80k per semester so you can take it as a Negative Side. But on Positive Side you will have a great opportunity at Chandigarh university if you have bright and good marks in your 12th they provide scholarships also you can take scholarships through giving CUCET exam.

Campus Life

Campus Life is also Very Good. Like You Doesn't want to enjoy or enjoyed Campus life. Especially Being an Engineering Student I must suggest enjoying campus life. There are both indoor and outdoor games was played at Chandigarh University. Also, Libraries is available you can take more interesting books there. One More thing We enjoy every culture there it does not mean some region students and their culture fests are avoided not at all. Every student is equal there.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel meal quality is awesome and we can't be bored there because meal quality is good and meal time table is also excellent every day in week there is a different meal. They provide 3 times meals and 1 time snacks in a day. Foreigners have different meals according to their perspective. We can change or adjust our menu also like someone is pure vegetarian that's why they can't eat non-veg on Wednesday or Friday.

Hostel Fee: INR 90000 per year

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Likes

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

A Honest Review about Chandigarh University: From Its Student.

I applied to multiple colleges like SRM Chennai, VIT vellore, and Lovely Professional University(LPU). I got confirmed admisison from all of them. I choose this university cause of the low fees and it is near to the place where I live. An honest and brutal review for paramedical College
