Remarks

The admission process is quite simple. There are no such criteria for admission. Any student who has passed class 12th can take admission. Also, you get scholarships if you have scored more than 80% in class 12th. Also, you can apply for cucet (Chandigarh University common entrance exam) by which you can get a scholarship based on your score.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course is what I'll say medium. The level is medium. Neither hard nor easy. Faculty is the part where I'm disappointed a little. Not all but some of the faculties teach poorly. Only 4/10 are good teachers. The rest are new teachers. I Would say you cannot totally depend on the faculty for your studies. You've to improve your skills by yourself, by learning on other platforms like youtube and MOOCs.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internships are okay. You can get them but if you work very very hard for them. Also, the stipend provided is not very hard. Talking about ratings. See the criteria of taking admission in CU is nothing and according to that criteria what this college offers at such a low fee is amazing. So I recommend you to join CU if you have scored fewer marks in 12th and you really want to improve your future.

Placement Experience

4

Companies start to come to CU from 6 semesters onwards which is quite good. In the year 2021 more than 7000 placement offers were given at CU. Placements are pretty good. The average package varies from 4 to 8 lpa. Whereas the highest package this year was 36lpa. You can definitely get a job here. And if you work hard then you may get a high package. Almost all the students having more than 7 cgpa gets placed in CU.

Fees and Financial Aid

If we compared the fees of Chandigarh University from its other competitors, it's the lowest, which is a good thing. Also, they provide scholarships and it's very to achieve a good amount of scholarships. You can either get a scholarship based on your 12th result or JEE results. And also based on CUCET (Chandigarh University common entrance test). So you can easily get a good amount of scholarships at CU. Campus placements are also good. The placement cell is improving every year. You can definitely get a job with 4-8 lpa if you are a decent student and if you work hard. You can get an even higher package which goes up to 35-40 lpa. Placements are good if you really wanna grab one. It's like you'll not be unplaced if you really want a placement. You will definitely be hired by some company. Whereas the level of the company depends upon your hard work.

Campus Life

4.5

Life at campus. This is the best part of Chandigarh University. The campus size is huge. You can meet a lot of new people. Diverse Student are here. Also you can visit Chandigarh city which is very near to the college. Talking about timmings. Girls have to report at their hostel till 7pm whereas boys can report at their hostel till 9 pm. Also the fests and events are very frequent in Chandigarh University. There's atleast one event at every alternate day.

Hostel Facilities

4

Here in CU. You get 1,2,3,4,5 seaters and a common room for boys. Exact pricing is available on their website (changes every year). Also, food is provided 4 times a day. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. Food quality is decent. You can also rent a flat or a PG. They are also available in large quantities. But I prefer a hostel if you are a fresher.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
