Entrance Preview

Entrance Examination - CET, My Rank was 15,000. I stay close to the college which is why I chose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course structure is prescribed by VTU. DSATM is affiliated to VTU. My take on the VTU course structure is that it is poorly constructed and lacking. However, they have bought up new curriculum's for the Juniors, and I do not know how good that is.

Internships Opportunities

College does not provide any internship nor any opportunity for any internships. Not really the college's fault. The VTU's time table is structures all around the year in a way which doesn't give students sufficient time to indulge in various other opportunities and internships.

Placement Experience

0.5

Placements and Job opportunities are average. If you have good knowledge and is passionate about the subject, jobs and opportunities will follow. So do not worry much about the college's placement opportunities. Get out and explore the vast world filled with amazing things to do.

College Events

0.5

Technical, cultural, management festivals and anything related is not at all appreciated in this college. The college and it's management is least interested in funding any such activities. Also do not encourage participation in other colleges too, especially cultural events. That is attendance won't be granted for the classes you miss in order to prepare for such events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

CET fees structure is feasible, since it is a government seat. Yearly it comes up to 60,000, Management quota fees is around 2 lakhs. The COMEDK exam which is an exam conducted for non residents of Karnataka to get admission to colleges in Karnataka is around 1.2 lakhs.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is pretty good, decent crowd. I have made life long friends in this college. The students give life to college, especially our creative Architecture Department, even though the college tries it's best to conform the students. Gender ratio, I would say is almost equal, or at least nothing to be bothered about. College hosts no such competitions. But students do go risking their attendance and participate in other colleges.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is damn chilled out. Even if you don't study the entire semester, you get ample number of days to study between exams and get a Distinction. And the internals in college is also well structured giving the students enough time to prepare.

Faculty

2

The faculty, especially in CS department are all kind and compassionate teachers willing to put in the extra effort to teach you. But they are restricted by the VTU guidelines and curriculum, hence the overall poor result in quality engineers. I would highly suggest any new student to avoid any college affiliated to VTU and try for autonomous colleges.

There are no such specific of the curriculum that influenceed me to take these course instead i was interested or kneen to this course., since my childhood I wanted do this course. It's good in terms of virtual world but not for real world. Everywhere there's a need of improvement no practical knowledge is present here no one talks about new ideas not even they think about even some of them came because it costed them low. No such specific difficulty.

Placement Experience:

The students from the last year that is seventh semester are allowed to attend the placement given on campus. There are not so many campus placement available. Many companies such as tcs, wipro and other companies basically giving less salary compared to other colleges. There are many few students who got placed in the companies through campus placement hence it cannot be trusted completely. My plans after getting a degree is to get a job or even higher studies of possible. The average students getting placed are very low.
