Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering - A review

After CET I applied for Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering. I got it in the first round. They had provided all the necessary documents to be brought. When I reached the destination for counseling, everyone where nice and friendly. The admission process too didn't take much of a time. They have a bank in the college campus which makes it easier for all the payments. They gave clear details on the classes, the intakes and the placement opportunities.

Computer Science and Engineering is a very fascinating topics which deals with the latest technologies around the globe. I was hence interested in this course. The faculty is very hardworking and deliver the concepts on point. Most of the lecturers have their doctorate or are pursuing doctorate. They come well prepared to the class with the presentations and notes. The faculty-student ratio for theory is 1:60

Students are eligible to apply for internships from the beginning whereas the placements are applicable only for the final year students. Infosys, LNT, TCS, cognizant are few companies that I am aware of that have offered jobs. Also placement this year is very high and the maximum package offered is 16 lakh INR. The highest package I am aware of is 16 lakh INR and the average package per company is 4 lakh INR. The placements this sem is very high and the department prepares us well fr the entire process front the very beginning. I am not sure about the percentage. I'd like to pursue my master's after my degree.

The overall fees will be around 4 lakhs INR. If a student applies through comed k, they need not pay the donation and the fees will be around 2 lakhs INR. If a student enters through CET the fees will be 58806 for the government and 21, 500 for the college. The students who get the seat in snq quota, pay around 25000. So, they have a pretty sorted system for the fee structure. The college provides a scholarship of 20000 every year for economically backward students. The college is very supportive of the students and even pays half the price for their investments in projects.

VVCE is a very huge campus that accommodates a lot of features. They conduct Vidyuth every year which is the college fest. It is a week-long fest where many competitions and concerts are held. They have a reading room as well as a library. They have everything I needed in the past 2 years and I am sure it will be the same in the future. They have a vast collection of books. The classrooms are well equipped. They have a projector and a screen for the classes. Blackboard for the explanation and etc. They have good and sufficient benches for everyone. Cleanliness is also maintained on the campus as it is one of the main aims of the college. Our college is a very clean campus. Clubs and groups are available for any co-curricular activities. I myself have joined any clubs like a wing, sports club, etc. There is also an open-source lab, incubation center, ACM, and many more. Words are less to describe the activities of the college
