Remarks

You can get admission through wbjee Or jee, there is also a management quota but the donation is very low as compared to other colleges,it is nearly 20000. During admission, you have to submit your 10 +2 marks and wbjee Or jee scorecard

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I am from the ECE dept and we have got really good faculty. They teach topics to the point and in a simple way that we require in professional life. The faculties are mostly m.tech holders and some are phd holders. They conduct 4 internal exams in a year with a gap of 2-3 months. The difficulty level is average and they mostly give the previous year questions. So it becomes quiet easy for us during the sem preparation.

Class Size: 20Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Our college provides internships from second year . Companies like TCS, Infosis gives us the opportunity. Since I haven't yet worked in any of the internships as my first year just got over few days back so I haven't done any projects. But as per I know from my seniors , they have been a part of many projects and our college provided them with many internships.

Placement Experience

3.5

Almost 75 % of students get placed with an avg package of 3- 3.5 LPA. The highest package was of 11 LPA last year. Companies like Intel,TCS, infosis, mahindra visits our college . And since it's a Techno brand so you won't face any problem regarding opportunities as I said before.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college provides internships from the 2nd year and since it's a Techno brand so you won't face any problems regarding the opportunity. The Campusing is held in the main campus i. e Salt lake. Last year the highest package was of 11LPA, avg was of 3 - 3. 2 LPA and lowest was of approx 2.7 LPA. Companies like Wipro, TCS, Intel etc visit our college.

Campus Life

We have many groups related to coding, drama, cricket, badminton. The campus is full of greenery and also has a parking slot. The labs are clean and well maintained. We have a ground for cricket and football. The campus has a area of about 8 acres. But ya it's a ragging free campus so you don't need to do those shitty things and most importantly seniors have helping hand.

Likes

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The remaining drives mostly service based companies like TCS, EY etc and quite a few startups has visited to main campus. The package they offered mostly in between 3.5lpa - 6 lpa. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Likes

The discipline is followed very strictly. Also you have access to library which is good, teachers are helpful and no ragging policy which is strictly followed and has a decent environment.
Thery conduct seminars which encourages students. Many faculty members are knowledgeable experienced in their respective subjects and helpful willing to solve doubts beyond the classroom also.
The college has decent infrastucture including classrooms, labs and library .

Dislikes

While the curriculum is decent ,it lacks sufficeint practical implementation.More hands on projects, real world application and industry exposure would improve learning significantly.
Campus life can sometimes fell limited in terms of active student interaction.Opportunites for clubs, networking and collaborative activities could be improved.
The college comes under St tHomas School so the campus is not great it is compact and has a canteen.

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

They'll lure you in by claiming there are very few seats available for specific courses- mind you, they're lying. They'll pretend as if your JEE rank is crucial. A friend of mine didn't even take the JEE exams and still she didn't have to give any sort of entrance exam, and is studying engineering alongside us..... amusing, isn't it?...Read More
