My Experience

The first college in the counselling I applied to was CMRIT only. I am from the general category and a non-Kannadiga hence I wasn't eligible for any quota. The criteria required me to submit the my 10th and 12th marks sheet, my comedk marks card and my choice of program.

I choose this course due to having a particular interest in the field of electronics. There is a teacher for every class with a class being further divided into batches. Each batch has a mentor that guides them throughout the year. Internal exams range from being easy to moderate whilst the external; exam at times can be hard.

Various MNCs as well as government organizations via the college portal offer internship opportunities. The roles vary by the field of interest of the particular student. Recently Qualcomm had offered an internship as well as companies such as Abhyaz and so on and so forth.

The companies start picking up suitable candidates in the third year itself. There have been packages of more than 21 LPA offered as well as there is a median package of around 4 LPA. More than 90% of the students get placed in the placement drives.

The fee structure varies according to your admission test. The KCET has relatively low fees of 89000 whilst the COMEDK students have to pay a fee of 235000. There are various scholarship programs for financially challenged individuals and those belonging to reserved categories.

There are various events conducted. The college has a fest named 'Cultura' which involves a lot of smaller events followed by a night of celebration in which many people from the music/acting space are invited. The campus life is vibrant and there is every amenity present that a student needs to have a good educational environment. There are various sports events being conducted all year round. There are college basketball, football, and cricket teams that participate at national and international levels. Even students individually take part in a variety of sports. There are various sites being managed by students pertaining to a variety of topics such as social works, entrepreneurship and even meme sites
